Kvyat with the fastest lap in a TR shows what he could have done in a Red Bull.... |

Wow this was truly amazing. Mercedes both crashing at turn four, which was clearly a racing incident because they both made a mistake. Hamilton was too enthusiastic, Rosberg simply pushed Hamilton on the grass. But after that, what a race. I haven't seen other cars than the two Ferrari's and the two Red Bulls, and as a Dutchman I'm simply very happy about the result.
Unfortunately we'll get many fake F1 fans here in the Netherlands now, who think they know everything but only watch because of Verstappen. Kinda golddiggers.

Me and my friends were going mad. Unbelievable.
A big thank you to Hamilton and Rosberg though. Without their fuck-up at the start this would have never happened.
What amazes me most though was that, in the stints on the same tyes, Verstappen was keeping the same pace as Ricciardo. I didn't think that would happen. But he kept at 1,1-2s the whole time they were on the same tyres. Only after the swap of strategy it became incomparable. |

I actually watched the race today, actually by accident cause i fully intended to skip Spain cause it's a horrid race... good job me!
Max drove fantastically in the second half to keep Kimi in check, but Ferrari gifted him a clean run when they pitted Vettel so early for his final stop. If they'd have waited until around the ride Ricciardo pitted it would have been game over and a win for Seb (or a massive crash).
Drive of the day though for me was either Sainz or Kvyat in the STR's. Sainz's opening lap was stellar and he kept the pace through the race in terrific style. Kvyat did get lucky with the pit-strategy at the end but he was ridiculously fast in the final stint.
You can't say RBR got it wrong promoting Max, he won. But Daniil showed that if he was in the RBR today, or Sainz, he could have done just as well. The pressure now is on Max to somehow get better from here, because RBR will expect no less than challenging at the front from him.
I'm also praying he doesn't become a complete arsehole like Vettel did when he moved to RBR.

Kvyat could not have done this.
Sainz might have, but Sainz is not as good on tyre management, that was proven multiple times last year and this year as well. He'd probably have destroyed then |

If Maldonado can win at Catalunya keeping an Alonso Ferrari at bay, then Kvyat or Sainz in a seriously competitive Red Bull could do what Max did. It's nothing to do with them being better than Max but that Catalunya provides almost no overtaking opportunities. We see it every year where a car gets stuck and can't make the pass.
The big test for Max will be Monaco, remember last year?, and beyond.

I have to say that I am really annoyed by the victory of Verstappen. In my eyes Kvyat is the better driver, the only background of the switch was to prevent Verstappen tatlking to other teams by giving him the best possible cockpit.
What I see from Max & his father is just pure arrogance. Reading interviews of these guys make me wonder how this guy can be hyped that much being near to Hamilton on the top of the F1 dickhead list...
Would´ve enjoyed it 100 times more to see good old Kimi, Seb or Riccardo win. Now it will be even worse with the 2 guys.
By the way, Palmer and Guiterrez with a good race, that´s nice to see.

Haters always find a way. This is a discussion I cannot win, because you guys are blinded by something else. Unfortunate. But I know it must be hard days for you to give credit where credit is due.
There is just so much wrong with claiming Kvyat is the better driver.
Verstappen actually kept the same race pace as Ricciardo, unlike Kvyat when he was in RB, for one...
