I disagree here. But yeah they are very close.
I am a huge Valverde-fan, you can accuse me of being biased etc., but I honestly can't see how Nibali should be more all-round than Valverde. What does Nibali have on Valverde - the cobbled stages?
He is better on mountains,TTs as well.he also is a better descender imo.
same type riders..great cycling brain. It's depends about day..they are almost same climbing level at GT. Valverde can keep up on descent.
Pointless debate.. |

Why is it pointless? Valverde is by far the better sprinter and hilly classics rider, Nibali has one Lombardia to show for. They time trial as well, Valverde has better prologues, and Nibali doesnt descend better contrary to popular beliefs. |

In the descnts I think Nibali is a bit better, not that much though.
Also Nibali finished Milan-Sanremo 3rd and Liege-Bastogne-Liege 2nd in 2012.He was also 4th in WCRR in 2013. |

But that hilly classics/WC records is just not comparable to Valverde's. Its just that much better, like comparing Nuyens's one day classics to Boonen's. |

I don't think Nibali is the most complete simply because he is a no-show in so many races. Valv is the epitome of completeness because he can ride and perform on high level in so many stage races and classics throughout the year for more than a decade, it's amazing really.

Yes, Nibali is lousy almost always and Valverde is always world class.

7 GT podiums ( 3 of them wins). is almost lousy always? Don't even start with that |

The Livestrong bracelet is hilarious but it's the poodle styled hair plugs that make this picture art

Guess who is back for tomorrow`s Turkey Tour?
Mustafa Sayar, who "won" the 2013 event but was doped back then, is again riding for Torku.
His first UCI race since the ban apparently was last weeks Tour of Mersin, where he showed good form as 4th in the GC.
Wonder if he repeats the 2013 performance. |

Didn`t know this.
But also the Tour of Mersin last week seems to be the only race this year so far for them with the Turkey Tour being the 2nd one. |

Strange as Velonews' tweet was retweeted by some of the team's riders. I found a Wielerflits article stating they started a fundraising to keep the team from disappearing. Don't know if this attempt being succesful is the reason for their 'revival' though. |
