Tour de I'Ain - Race Review
Team Roster:
I finished flat stages at top 10 places - 7th (Stage 1 won by Delpech) and 5th (Stage 2 won by Vachon). Not bad!
Fight for GC victory was very close - Stadler (BMC) won the race (and last stage) with only 6 seconds advantage ahead Geschke and Hivert. Van Huffel, who was leader after Stage 3 (he won that stage) lost 55 seconds and dropped to 4th place.
Final classifications:
Vattenfall Cyclassics - Race Review
Team Roster:
Spoiler
Tom Veelers surprisingly beaten Mark Cavendish and Jose Joaquin Rojas at final sprint. I wasn't have enough energy after some really steep hills and I wasn't take part at final sprint.

Regio Tour - Race Review
Team Roster:
Some good riders (Siedler and Van Hummel, who won two first stages, Menchov, Cunego, Tiralongo, Kolobnev) decided to take part in this race and I wasn't able to fight with them due to my bad form. 10th place at Stage 2 was my best performance in this race.
At Stage 3 with hilly finish Kolobnev overtaken Cunego after sprint duel and took the lead in GC.
Marcel again showed that he is very talented rider (and promising TT specialist) and got another top 10 place at ITT this year - he was 7th.
At the last stage Cunego lost final sprint again - this time race leader Menchov was faster.
Final classifications:
Summary:
Spoiler I'm really disappointed after last races, but I'm feeling really tired and I would like to have this really tiring season is over for me. Now it's time for some one-day races, for me every top 10 place will be a success. Greetings and thanks for the support! |

Team Roster:
Spoiler
I wasn't able to play in 3D mode stages 1 & 5 because my PCM was crashing due to Runtime error, Stage 7 also had some issues. I'm really sorry for this, it's not my fault.
At Stage 2 finally I had a good lead-out and I was in top 10 - I was 7th. The stage was won by Lucas Haedo.
But Stage 3 was even better - I was 3rd and I took the lead in GC after really windy and crazy stage - peleton was splited of many small groups and I (thank to my team-mates) saved a lot of energy, but I wasn't able to counter after Stevenson's attack.
I lost my yellow jersey after Stage 4 in favour of Stadler (BMC) who kept the lead till the end of race. The last stage was won by Polish champion Robert Radosz.
Final classifications:
Summary:
Spoiler
I'm really happy after race in Australia. Now I'm preparing for the last race of the season - Chrono des Nations. Greetings and thanks for the support! |

Tour de San Luis - Race Review
Team Roster:
I finished the first stage just after top 10 riders. Candido Barbosa (Liberty Seguros) won the stage, Edgar rode in breakaway today and won all sprints (two intermediate and one mountain sprint).
Next day Sergio won in style very hard mountain stage and took the lead in GC with 1'17 advantage ahead Tondo.
Unfortunately at TT Sergio lost some seconds, but he kept the yellow jersey.
Stage 4 was great for Andalucia Cajasur team - Moreno won the stage and Tondo took the lead in GC with 11 seconds advantage ahead Sergio.
At the last mountain stage Tondo proved to be unbeatable, he won the stage and increased his advantage ahead rivals in general classification. Henao finished the stage at 5th place and kept his second place in GC.
After really hard mountain stages I was very tired and I wasn't able to fight in final sprints at the last stages, so Edgar was our leader for sprints and got top 10 place - he was 8th at the last stage (won by Ginanni, the Stage 6 was won by Vicioso).
Final classifications:
Summary:
Spoiler I'm not much satisfied after the race from two reasons - I was disappointed after bad sprints by me and Henao was about to win this race but he was "only" 2nd in GC. However the season just started and I'll have more chances for stage victories at next races. Greetings and thanks for the support! |

Yes, but it's story about Degenkolb, not Henao ( ), however Degenkolb was working for Henao at hilly stages (I forgot to say about it earlier) |

Tour of Qatar - Race Review
Team Roster:
The first stage (TTT) wasn't bad - my team has been overtaken only by two Pro Tour teams - Astana and Columbia - HTC.
I finished Stage 2 at podium place - after great lead-out by Marcel and Sebastian I was 3rd, only Wrolich and Stauff (who won next day) were faster.
Stage 4 was really crazy - only 16 riders took part in peloton finish, because the wind was blowing very strong and many riders couldn't keep strong pace imposed by Garmin riders. Pablo Urtasun (Caisse) won, I was 3rd (again), but I took the lead in the race with only 6 seconds ahead Urtasun.
Next day my team-mates were very tired after last stage and they're wasn't able to make lead-out for me, so I wasn't took part in the final sprint. Dominguez (BMC) won the stage, Sutton who was 2nd got bonus seconds and decreased my advantage in GC to only 2 seconds, so I couldn't be sure that I'll win the race till the last stage.
At the last stage Forster (Milram) proved to be fastest, I was 10th and I kept my yellow jersey.
Final classification:
Summary:
Spoiler YES! I won the race, I really wasn't expect that, I'm so glad and excited! I can't wait for the next race! Greetings and thanks for your support! |

Tour Mediterraneen - Race Review
Team Roster:
I had started the race pretty well - I was 7th at 1st stage and I got yellow jersey after TTT
But I wasn't expected even better performance at the next stage - after last mountain bonus peloton was split up into few groups and thank to my team-mates I was at the front with about 30 riders, include some good sprinters (Rojas, Fischer, Haussler). Astana dictated the pace, but they weren't able to make good sprint train for Haussler in opposite to my team so.....
....I won the stage after excellent lead-out by Kittel and Bobridge! It was briliant stage!
Of course I kept my leader jersey, but Haussler was only 16 seconds behind me.
At Stage 4 ended by quite steep hill I tried to counter after attack by Igor Anton, but I wasn't able to attack again and I finished the stage in the main group. Anton won the stage, I kept my leader jersey.
At the next stage 7 breakaway riders, who attacked at beginning of the stage, reached the finish ahead peloton - Verheyen (Landbouwkrediet) proved to be fastest, there weren't any changes in GC.
Anton won again! This time Spanish rider of Caisse overtaken another Spainard - Alejandro Valverde (Columbia - HTC). Eros was our team leader for this hard, hilly stage and finished this stage at 4th place, and he had only 6 seconds loss in final general classification to race winner Heinrich Haussler. It was so close to win it!
Final classifications:
After great results at the first part of the season my team received wild card for WT race - Paris - Nice. I can't wait for this race, it will be nice chance to compare my skills with the best sprinters. Greetings and thanks for your support! |

Paris - Nice - Race Review
Team Roster:
At opening ITT of the race two my team-mates got top 10 places - Jack was 7th and Marcel finished 10th. Next day Greipel (Milram) took a victory at sprint finish, I got 22nd place.
Sergio, who was our leader for GC, won Stage 3 after great attack at the last climb and rode into white jersey with only 7 seconds gap to race leader Karpets (Katusha)
After great performance at Stage 3 race was getting worse for us - I wasn't able to fight at final kilometers (I got only top 20 place at Stage 4, won suprisingly by climber Vansummeren from Silence - Lotto), and Sergio was dropped outside of top 20 after Stage 5 (ITT) with 1'03 gap to race leader.
But at next mountain stage Sergio showed that he shouldn't be underestimated - he was second thank to great effort by Eros and moved up to 6th place at GC, Tondo (Andalucia) got impressive stage victory and yellow jersey.
Solid ride by Sergio at the last mountain stages let him keep top 10 place in the GC (he was 8th), Spanish climbers Anton and Sanchez won the last stages.
Final classifications:
Team Thuringer Energie received another wild cards this year - for races Ronde van Vlaanderen and Vuelta Ciclista al Pais Vasco. Generally Paris - Nice was very good race for our team, but I wasn't made enough effort to get some good places. Anyway I'm waiting for next races, greetings and thanks for the support! |
