I love variants, or should i say, stage making. Not creating it obviously - way too much work - but I enjoy getting educated on climbs and how you potentially can pair them to make a great show get going.
The fine Massif stages should sort a little out, I see you are using the same climbs as this year but in a different order? Medium mountain stages are always good, it does always make for some good racing, especially early on.
A little too many sprint-finishes for my taste. Give them some flesh, but not too much. Its better to have hungry sprinters than the other way around. I am hoping to see some proper climbs soon, I wanna see carnage on the road come July. |

Yeah I feel you.

I really didn't knew which climbs they do exactly in 2016. I just knew that there is a finish in Loiran, which I pass through one time. I googled it and found this version: https://i.imgur.co...2xlHp.png.

Well, it's been the first week. It's five sprint stages now, one uphill finish on a flat stage, but this is something for Rodriguez or Valverde kind of guys. But I can assure you, there won't come many sprint stages anymore. Keep in mind, I tried to do something balanced, realistic. But I have some killer stages in the last week for you, were the firework is happening.
Thanks for following.

Thats not the stage, tho. I have no clue when that stage was raced, probably in 2000's I would suppose considering the profile. Your stage resembles the stage LLS won in 2008 if I am correct? Anyways, I don't have the stage for 2016 since ASO only have released the final 40 km of the final in which they tackle those 3 climbs.. from the other side, it seems. Anyway, here is the stage: <a href="https://www.procyclingstats....id=217
Ill look forward to it! I have encountered a few stage maker-afficianados so I might have a clue about what you are doing in your next stages. Maybe the Basque-Pyrenées? |

You're right. I looked into this. There are some things alike, the stage to Aurillac and the climbs around Mont-Dore (in 2008). Yeah, they are the best spots in the Central Massif.
Well, my focus is on the Alpes, keeping the field together till this point. There isn't too much action in the Pyrenees coming.

Your 15Th stage in Luberon is such a good choice. For me that's the most beautiful area in France !
In return, I find the transfert between manosque and St André too long. Roads are not direct at all in this area.
Anyway it looks very good so I am looking forward to downloading and playing it !

Thank you, grebiere. But you really think the transfer is too long? It's 80km to Saint-André-les-Alpes. The N85-N202 are leading right to the Town. Normally, those lengths aren't unusual for the Tour. Last year, for example, the transfer from Plateau de Beille to Muret was over 100km.
On the other hand I have to admit, that the transfer length wasn't my biggest concern, especially in the coming stages.

Hi
I discovery your Tour today and i'm very surprise you do a vert good job
Just for the stage comes in Sète, the road is more narrow , houses are smaller, and lots of greenery
And especially for me there is no place for an arrival
I advise arrival down Sète, or in my city : Frontignan
Finally is not the ''Col de Sète'' but the Mont Saint Clair
For the Stage comes on Prat Peyrot you are very succeeded but dommage(pity ?) you don't arrive to Mont Aiguoual, but is perfectly decorated

Yeah, thank you. It's great having a local giving advice. It's hard to make everything like it's in real life, as a stage maker one must always marginalize. I made those roads on purpose wider than in real life, because the game doesn't respond well to narrow situations. But I will take another look at the houses and obviously the climb name.
Regarding the stage to Prat Peyrot. I decided against the Mont Aigoual, even knowing it would make a great finish. I wanted a two-step finish with a short second step. After 20km of climbing the Col du Minier, where's the point to go the whole way up to Mont Aigoual? Anything that couldn't decided before, won't happen there. It's probably the same argument one is having about the La Mongie - Tourmalet finish. ^^
By the way, welcome to the board. Saw it was your first post?!

It should be more appropriate now, I think.

Your welcome, try to do the greenery if you look the Mont Saint Clair by far it is clearly green, for the road ok for an arrival it's better a largest road

Months Aiguoual is a finish exactly like Prat Peyrot just longer
I don't understand exactly the question sorry

Maybe its hard to see from that picture I've posted, but it is already as green as it gets for me. If you don't like it enough, you can change it afterwards, cause I will share my ztcs at the end.
Regarding the Mont Aiguoual finish. As I said I tried a very short second step. Prat Peyrot was the shortest available. Mont Aiguoual wouldn't bring anything more to the table, that is what I am saying. Because it's already enough climbing before and Prat Peyrot is a little bit more realistic finish, because it offers more space for the Tour-Setup than the summit of the mountain. In the end, it's just how I wanted to do the stage. But I can accept if someone else would it have done differently.

I have been in Sete, actually. The first thing I thought was that it would make for a super good finish. Truly beautiful place!
I like your 2 recent stages. Not really a fan of backloaded GT's, tho. |

Oww ok it's perfect. At the to of the Saint Clair there are no plenty houses, it's for that I said to you

You have 4,5 km between Prat Peyrot et the Mont Aiguoual
And you have really more place in the Aiguoual
I think you say that because Street View not come in the top
You have an observatory very famous and important so a BIG parking
But if you prefer Prat Peyrot it's a good choice too
I want see your next Stage |

I made a "small" adjustment to the route. I saw that the game sets the rest day after the 16th stage, which allowed me to something different than orginally planned. The stage to Isola 2000 coming now as the 17th stage, and the the coming stage in between, as the 16th.
