I already have the asodb pack. This is the fourth variant of the TDF that I'm playing. Only once have I beaten Froome in this race, being fresher, with Froome having already completed(and won) the Giro, while Nairo did not ride in it, back in the 2017 season.

Just a tec. question, if you have diffrent "versions" on a race, do they shift automat. or du you have to chose what version somewhere ?

The game chooses a version automatically when the races get generated on 1st Jan in every season of the career. The versions can also be changed to one of your choice using the database editor. There is a guide on the forum. Will post it to you if I can locate it...

Dayer Quintana won on stage 1 and lead till the ITT on stage 7. Eventually settled for 2nd place.
Prueba Villafranca-Ordiziako Klasika
Tour de Wallonie
Lobato won three stages (2,3 and 5), including a uphill finish on stage 3, to comfortably win the GC.

I know you do - and it means you have so many TdF variants the chances that the "best one" (fewest ITT km, most mountains) comes up are very low. But sure, it would be "cheating" to force the best variant.

Update from the first Autumn classic...
Clasica San Sebastien
The early 5 man break stayed away for only 20 km. Uran had an early fall but recovered back to the peloton. Eventually, a 2 man breakaway stretched out to a 8 minute lead. A group of six better riders attacked with 60 km to go. They caught the break and eventually all of them were caught by the peloton with 25 km to go, just before the last climb. Valls and Rui Costa attacked next, with only the latter able to build up a lead. With 15 km to go, following another couple of attacks, Rui Costa was alone at the front, with about a minute's lead. The pack would try its hardest, but Costa would not be caught. The Movistar riders tired themselves out in the chase and did not have the legs for the sprint to the finish. Their best finisher was Eduard Korniets, in 26th place. Costa won, with Maxime Bouet and Gregory Brenes completing an unexpected podium.
A bad race for us, especially given that we were defending it after Gorkha's win here last season.

Stage List
Flat -5
Hilly - 2
Stage 1
A mostly flat stage greets us in Poland. A couple of climbs presents a reason for riders to form a breakaway. The stage itself should end in a mass sprint.
Stage 2
This flat stage will see the riders change elevation with about a fourth of the stage left to ride. It shouldn't do much harm to the sprinters' prospects of winning.
Stage 3
With no KOM points to play for, this stage is not expected to have a lot of incident till the dash for the line by the sprinters.
Stage 4
Three stiff climbs might do some damage to the sprinters as they'll surely come away from them with heavy legs. It will be a question of who recovers the best after the climbs, in what should be another sprint finish.
Stage 5
A dramatic change in stage profiles will see the riders cross five climbs before they reach the summit finish. One of two stages where the GC will be decided, a good ride on this stage will allow the riders to put some early pressure on their rivals.
Stage 6
A tough stage which should see more attacks and time gaps among the race favourites. The terrain keeps going up and down and will mount a serious challenge to the GC challengers.
Stage 7
A couple of moderate climbs should not deter the sprinters from seeking to get back to winning ways on this stage. With the peloton tiring after a couple of hard stages, a breakaway might fancy their chances of winning.
Overall Assessment
Stage 5 and 6 look like deciding the race for sure. The start list features riders who are mostly back-up leaders in their teams for the climbing heavy races. This will give them a chance to shine of their own accord.

A race where Movistar have not done well generally. Last year was the exception with Intxausti taking 2nd place. He was again to try to go one better. Viviani would be Movistar's weapon on the flat stages. With a lot of the second or third riders from each team on the start list, expect a highly motivated fight for the GC. Thibaut Pinot, Adam Yates, Romain Bardet and Moreno Moser would be some of the riders looking to take the overall win. There were others as well who are quite capable on their day. This should be an interesting and closely fought race.
The following is a summary of stages...
Stage 1 - Flat with 2 minor intermediate climbs
Three Movistar riders fell early on the stage but it wasn't too hard on them in terms of their health. The breakaway did not survive and the sprinter's showdown decided the stage. Jasper Stuyven won, while Viviani started the sprint from too long a way back to challenge for the win.
Stage winner - Jasper Stuyven
Movistar - Elia Viviani 5th, Jesus Herrada 10th
Stage 2 - Flat with 1 minor intermediate climb
A 3 man break had a 10 minute lead but were caught with 15 km left. Viviani once again started the sprint from a long way back but made his way through the crowd to 2nd place. Louis Rohde won the stage.

Stage winner - Elia Viviani 2nd, Jesus Herrada 8th
Stage 3 - Flat
A flat stage with not much action saw another break being caught well before the line and another bunch sprint. Jasper Stuyven won his second stage of the race while Viviani picked up another 2nd place.

Stage 4 - Flat with slightly uphill finish, including 3 major intermediate climbs
Eustaquio Sanchez put himself into the break and came away with the lead in the KOM at the end of the stage. The break was caught with 15 km to go. Arthur Vichot almost immediately launched a strong attack. The peloton chased and chased but couldn't catch the attacker. Vichot won with 23 seconds over the pack and took the lead in the GC.

Movistar - Elia Viviani 8th, 23" behind. Lost Points jersey
Stage 5 - Hilly with uphill finish, including 5 major intermediate climbs
The 12 man early break was whittled down to 2 at the base of the fifth intermediate climb. The break was caught with 18 km to go. Adam Yates attacked with another rider in tow, followed by Julian Arredondo and another in his wake. Movistar chased them. Romain Bardet attacked next. Intxausti attacked with 2.5 km to go, catching Yates and Bardet. Simon Spilak came out of almost nowhere in the final km to pass all three riders and take the stage win. He took the GC lead as well.

Other important results - Romain Bardet 2nd, Adam Yates 3rd, 9" behind, Alexander Geniez 5th, 26" behind, Thibaut Pinot 10th, 55" behind
Stage 6 - Hilly with uphill finish, including 4 major intermediate climb
A 6 man break survived till the last intermediate climb, with a 23 man chasing pack. The break was caught with 12 km left and Adam Yates took his chance to attack. He was eventually caught by the group of the GC leaders. They tried attacking each other but no one had the legs to create an advantage. Julian Arredondo had the strongest punch at the finish and won the stage. There were no time gaps amongst the leaders.

Stage 7 - Flat with 1 major and 1 minor inermediate climbs
The early 14 man breakaway was caught on the first intermediate climb itself as Movistar maintained a high pace in an attempt to split the pack. They didn't manage it though, as only a handful of the weaker riders were dropped off the back. The flat approach to the finish line neutralized Movistar's attempts as they gave up trying to get Intxausti the GC win and started to concentrate on getting Vivivani the stage win. That too was unsuccessful, as Viviani only managed a 5th place with Stuyven winning stage number three of the race.

Intxausti could not repeat his result from last year but 4th place is a decent result. A few metres here and there and the situation could well have been a lot different. The worry from this race was Viviani's inability to pick up any wins on the flat stages in a weak field of sprinters. The focus for the team shifts to the Vuelta a Burgos, which is a sponsor objective.

Without being overly critical, Viviani should've done better really. None of the top ranked sprinters were present to challenge.

Probably started them a bit late on the first three stages because of poor positioning. Started it early on stage 7 but Viviani ran out of energy

RACE PREVIEW - VUELTA a BURGOS
Stage List
Flat - 4
Mountain - 1 (1 MT)
Stage 1
A flat stage to start off with consisting of a couple of climbs. The small uphill finish might make it hard work for the sprinters.
Stage 2
With no climbs on offer, the stage looks lke one which would not see much incident till the finish. An even sharper uphill is sure to catch out the spritners and give someone else the chance to win.
Stage 3
The climbs are back on this stage and it is almost tailor made for a breakaway to try their luck. The constant ups and downs in the profile will make it hard for the peloton to mount a coordinated chase. If there is no breakaway win, the sprinters might once again come out unhappy with the uphill nature of the finish.
Stage 4
The fourth consecutive flat classified stage will again allow a non-sprinter to win given the undulating nature of the profile before the finish. The finish itself is flat, and if the peloton stays together, expect the sprinters to finally have their way fully.
Stage 5
The stage where the GC will be decided starts with a few small climbs. The average profile keeps going higher as the stage progresses. The last three climbs are sure to see most of the action from the GC favourites. The climb to the finish is tough and will favour strong climbers.
Overall Assessment
With only one non-flat stage, the GC will be decided over that day's riding alone. The sprinters won't be too happy with the profiles, despite four stages meant to favour them.

The last three climbs on stage 5 might be a bit too steep for a puncher to flourish I think. I'm betting on that anyway...

Looks sort of semi-hard on the profile. But is it clasified as a mountain stage so you are almost certainly right.
