Another Clarke, Simon, wins in Italy. A very good race day for Australia.
In West-Vlaanderen Dupont wins a sprint with 7. De Bie won the GC.

Hmm, well. Kazakh rider Astafyev from the Vino-4-ever team wins the 2nd stage and takes the GC lead in Taiwan, after a 80km solo breakaway.

Jesus, 2.26 lead for a 80km solo break.
Either he's doped up to his eyeballs or the whole peloton took a bung to let him ride off the front Ridiculous result.
Surely the UCI will be investigating this rider/team/race after that result. |

80 km solo in a 116 km stage? did the peloton even know someone was ahead?

It could happen if there are no race radios. I'm not sure if this is the case here.
I believe race radios are allowed again at the non WT races, as was the case in Omloop and KBK.
This result reminds me of the old PCM breakaway bug. |

Schulting wins the 3rd stage in Taiwan, being the strongest from a 3-men break (with Giacoppo and Dunne). The stage featured a couple of climbs, which thinned out the peloton to around 40 riders. Yesterday's winner Astafyev got dropped, so 20-year-old Australian Ben O'Connor from Avanti takes the leader's jersey.

that was because the two teams attacked in the crosswind together and killed every other team...
to the Taiwan stage win: I think Astafayev won only because the peloton couldn´t agree on who´s doing the chase...and he already lost time on stage 1 so it was sure he wasn´t the strongest in the race...very bad line-up there btw this year...

Will Clarke wins again in Taiwan. This time in a sprint of a reduced peloton.

Vino4Ever
Pishgaman
Tabriz
Skydive
All in one race but it`s Avanti dominating the GC.
