Again not fan of Benoot tactics...they knew Debuscchere was in the bunch, and they knew Benoot would not win in direct sprint.. but yet Benoot was pulling like stupid..
And Etixx missed Lampeart, Trentin and Stybar. These three are the main core nowdays and for the future.

It's obvious that Bennot would not stand a chance in a sprint against Sagan and GVA, but his sprint ability is not that bad and I bet he thought that he had a shot

Just for those that wonder. Money is not paid out until later tonight or even tomorrow. Don`t want to spoiler anyone with the PM.
This is also the usual way in all other big races. |

Plus it's hard to know how it's going to go after 200km and 60km out front in the wind. Look at the overhead - it was more about strength left than speed. Sprint started with 200m to go and there were bike lengths between each of the first 4 by the line!
Good race again and fantastic ride by Gougeard in particular. Roll on spring!

Sagan has attacked away from the peloton with 46 km to go.
Sagan being Sagan.

Broeckx' own fault, bike had nowhere to go that quickly. Shit happens.

I wonder what happened to Sagan there - would have expected him to make that, I guess having no teammates means you cannot be everywhere.
Rowe and GvA everywhere this weekend - everytime I look at stream I see Rowe's pearly whites.

Stuyven is riding really strong and has a big gap.
