This was some serious wind in Tour de San Luis.

And while many riders are almost falling off their bikes, Sagan is still pushing the guy ahead of him with one hand as seen in the video above. |

Very pleasing result in San Luis there, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing the two Quintanas in action more over the course of the season. Nairo has said a couple of times (although this may just be his innate modesty) that he thinks his brother will be better than him, so I guess the Schleck comparisons might be valid in that regard. I'm expecting a major result from not-so-Big Mig this year - I think he's down as doing the Vuelta this year, shame that there aren't really any proper mountains there for him (apart from Aubisque stage) to strut his stuff, so maybe Suisse or somewhere would be the place to look out for him, remembering his good ride on the Rettenbachferner last year.
Its indeed very pleasing to see such a result by Dayer who was kinda horrible last year to be honest. Lots of chrashes, sickness etc. can fuck every rider over and it seems he has recovered after his super promising ride on Kitzbuheler. Regarding Nairo saying his brother is even more talented like Frank, I lean towards the bullshit-side on that one! No way he is more talented than Nairo - at this age, Nairo was dominating the WT. Dayer has a lot to go. The big question is: how much of this can we contribute to the race being held in the summer in Argentina, it being the first race and thus very varying condition for the likes of Majka, Nibali, Vuillermoz and the other europeans? I think quite a bit. Dayer, in my opinion, isnt GT-material like his older brother. I could see him top-10, top-5 or even top-3 at some point in either the Vuelta or Giro, but I think thats his highest ceiling. Hoping to see him this year along Nairo and Anacona in the Tour. I could definitely see that happening is he continues showing those signs and that would obviously please Nairo quite a bit as well! Whats certain is he is gonna ride a GT - and why not with his brother after riding the Giro last year? The Vuelta is probably the most likely, I could see him reaching a high level in Suisse fx. and prepare for the Vuelta which Nairo probably also is riding. The Schleck-comparisons are obviously there: to that I would say, Nairo and Andy are incredible even, but I think Frank is the more talented rider (that goes for Andy as well compared to Nairo, imo) than Dayer.
Superman-Lopez is super interesting. Could see him ride a Nairo-esque spring from Nairos breakout season and do like Chaves last year in the Vuelta. So many good prospects from Columbia. Gaviria and Contreras affirmed their talents as well, too bad that both chrashed, hoping Etixx will send at least one to the Vuelta. Well Gaviria probably wont, but Contreras could learn a thing or two there
Also, anyone knows whats going on for Betancur? Im quite certain I saw him scheduled for either San Luis or Down Under, but neither happened and the next race he is scheduled for pr. PCS is the Ardennes. I was high on Movistar landing Betancur, increasing their Columbians and hopefully turn it around again, but seems like - so far - Betancur is still Betancur.

Haven`t seen him for those races. But they had leaders for both events anyway. And Betancourt probably needed some more days/weeks of training after long Christmas Holidays.
I am quite sure he will race some February prep race like Valenciana, Andalucia, Algarve or his formerly won race Haut Var. None of those is fully confirmed by Movistar yet. Also PN and TA are only 5/8 confirmed yet, so could get a spot there. |

Just to follow up on Betancur, he didnt attend the team presentation today either. Only rider along with Adriano Malori, supposedly because of Visa-problems.

Great overall win for Dayer in San Luis. I too well remember his ride at Kitzbühler Horn, I too was disappointed by his lack of performances last year. Regarding the Schleck comparisons, I hope they won't be on that level tactical-wise. Movistar tactics + Schleck tactics.. imagine the nightmare.. that's probably the worst combination of tactical confusing behavior you'd find in the peloton for at least a few decades.
Also can we make a bet when the WC curse will be broken by 2agan?

It's nice though that you had faith in him and thought he'd be behave any different this year.. I learned my lesson last year, boy I'll never put him into a Velogames team ever again.

Yeah, my faith is nowhere to be found anymore. Why would I be so fucking retarded to even think that he would change. 14 days into the season, he has managed to fuck it all up again. Good stuff we have some other columbians on this team to compensate for him being a total jerk to everyone, including himself. Posting pictures on twitter just made it even worse....
MY FAITH HAS FINALLY VANISHED |

I'm so confused. Will he break the WC curse by actually winning races or by actually finishing 2nd like he used to.
I'd say he'd probably start winning heaps of races. It's mathematical logic.
negative (2agan) x negative (WC jersey curse) = positive (and i don't mean doping test ofc) |

I wonder how many wins Kwiatek can get this season, last year it were only two and although AGR was pretty big one, the other one was just a prologue. SKY expectations must be high but maybe he'll face similiar problems as 2agan when it comes to winning, meaning he'll often get podium places but hardly any wins. He is arguably even more versatile than 2agan after all.

Decent start of the season for Cancellara.
I really hope he will have a good final season without any major injuries.

Really all depends how Sky want to train him, he's down as going to the Tour which he will obviously be working for Froome so let's hope they don't train the attack out of him. These classics guys have it tough, the races are so hard fought that winning them is tough so you'd expect Kwiatek to finish in the placings more than he wins but hopefully he doesn't fall apart like he did last season.
