The new season started last weekend with Germany winning the team race ahead of Slovenia and Austria.
The induvidual race was won by a very surprising Daniel Andre Tande ahead of Peter Prevc and Severin Freund.
Schlierenzuer and Stoch were very disappointing.Fannemel as well.Domen Prevc was great as well.
New season starting.Thread name edited!

Schlierenzauer is disappointing me since 2013/14 now. He needs to get his shit together in off-season and do less fancy photoshoots on instagram and no cool red bull ads anymore for him. The guy is my home legend but he needs to get back his edge, he needs a proper season score again.

The next generation for Slovenia looking good. PeterPrevc only 23 years old, Domen can be a star with hes 16 year. And there is Cene, the middle brother who can be good too. Ohh, and Lanisek is good too. Damjan retired?
Ill never see the austrians this way low.
Kasai looking good again witzh hies 43 years. Real Ironman. I hope hes knees are lasting for a few seasons |

Polish jumpers had bad start of the winter season.... Kubacki, who was one of the best jumpers in Summer GP (great performances in Hinterzarten and Wisła), now is comparable Korean jumpers

A bump-I will make this thread about all of ski jumping/cross-country/alpine-skiing/biathlon/nordic-combined
Johaug and Sundby are thermonuclear.Northug looking pretty good while Cologna has started the season bad.
Bjoerndalen, what a beast!Boe bros disappointed. And Forucade's skiing form is superb but he made a lot of mistakes.Come on Boe bros!
On womens Dorin Habert really seems to have stepped his game it looks like. And a very surprising win by Wierer.
Svindal and Shiffrin look on a superb form.

What do you mean by ``Fourcade made alot of mistakes```?
He almost had the perfect race. His shooting was fast and he only missed two shots, which in these conditions are pretty good(the two best shooters this race used way more time than him on the map and only had one miss less).
His speed on the course was phenomal. Winning by almost a min in sprint is something special and something only Bjørndalen has done a few times before fourcade.
Only Neuer could win a sprint before with two misses and end up with a +30 sec gap to the others.

He was superb in the sprint race though.
France was ridiculous.Fillon Maillet beated Johannes Thingnes Boe
Tarjei Boe was very disappointing but the wind was a factor in it.I expect some good things from him this season. He was one of the best skiers(apart from Fourcde ofc)

He had some luck , the wind conditions worsened after hes shooting. In that conditions he (maybe ) end up wit 3-6 mistakes. And that 50 second is a huuuge advantage for the best cc skier in the pursuit. the thing that surprise me that Tariei is skiing way better then hes little brother. |

That competition was so boring and strange (I hate gate and wind compensation system - Freund jumped 94,5 m and won the competition, but Larinto jumped 94 m and he was 42nd ). Kasai and Polish jumpers had bad performances, Asikainen made a surpise (when for the last time Finnish jumper was in top 10 of competition? ). I hope today it will be better competiition (without problems with strong wind), at large hill |

Hirscher took his first win at a speed discpline. Guy is on fire. Also I love how women like Hütter are stepping up for their game in time to give us a lil bit replacement until Anna Fenninger <3 returns.

Also Tarjei Boe was superb today.A shame he was so far behind in the sprint race.He skied superbly today.
Also Lindsey Vonn won his 2nd race this year by winning yesterday again.abienne Suter was 2nd and Cornelia Huetter really stepped up her game to get 3rd after coming 2nd the day before
Also Soukalova won yesterdays women sprint race in biathlon.Sanfilippo was a very surprise 2nd and Pidrushina was 3rd.Dorin Habert is skiing really fast this year as well and was 6th even with 2 mistakes only 4.5 seconds off the podium

Yes he won Super G in Beaver Creek yesterday but he also had better conditions due to weather and it was quite technical. Really great to see him finally taking one, especially because Svindal is some amazing form currently. It'll be a great season for Overall World Cup.
