This U23 season should be way more succesful than last.

I took a better look at the U23 tour today, I have to say I'm amazed by the amount of 71-72 riders. Especially Pedersen and Kovacic may find this a lost year in development.
Van der Poel is looking really good, I'm predicting he will win this year. Pedersen also looking very good when it's a bit flatter and on the cobbles Biermans would be my pick. Then there's Pintzopoulos, who just looks very odd but can surprise. No expectations for my own team this year.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

A lost year in development? I think it was said that they would develop better in the DT as in the WT team?
Looking at it myself now and I must say a Geyer in there would have been incredible. I still can't believe he was again eligible.

Hmm, as I understood it, between 71 and 72 the rider would also work in a WT/CT team, so the 72 riders would have very little benefit (if any?) from the U23 Tour. So lost year is a bit too much maybe, but if a rider would do equally well in WT/CT or U23, I'd put him where the points matter

Some nice team updates from knockout, Jandle & Team Logan's run there! I might do something similar, but only once the planning is done so I don't give away any secrets & tips: hehe! |

So that's all profiles updated. I'll try to make the planning files later.
Only the GTs are missing now. I'm not sure, when I'll be able to do the routes for them. It would be nice if someone could help me with doing the routes for them.
This is how I planned the GTs to be:
Giro:
entirely in Italy as it's the 100th Giro
starting with a prologue
1 more ITT
Some heavy mountain stages
Tour:
starting with a road stage (flat or hilly)
no TTT
more sprinter friendly than last season
more TT friendly than last season (2 long ITTs probably)
Vuelta:
starting with a TTT
again the most puncheur friendly GT
one TT
Also I could need something who could take the lists from the first posts in the calendar thread and link all the races for me in there.
Edit: Also I feel like telling you this year every race will be with the same *.xml file, except for Giro and Tour, that'll keep their standard ones. In this xml file flat stages count more for the points jersey than others and the bonus seconds are 10,6,4 in finish and 3,2,1 at IS.
Sprinters stage races will get their own *.xml in which the top 10 gets bonus seconds like in the mangame. I wanted to add this already last season but forgot to add the finished *.xml file to the db. |

Race Selection Files:
Please download the Race selection file for the division your team is in and follow the following steps. Managers with also a development team will also have to download one for the U23 team.
Here you can also find a file with the calendar in it: https://www.mediafire.com/download/9bn...endar.xlsx
I still added Rutland - Melton as last minute addition to the U23 calendar when I noticed it's a little short on cobbled races. The profile will follow, but for now you only have to know it's cobbled and flat.
How does the file work?
#1 Put your team ID in K1. You find your team ID in table teams.
#2 Select the races you want to take part in by putting an "X" in column G next to the race.
#3 It is possible to finish with up to 5 more or less race days used than the required amount.
#4 Copy columns I, where it also says PM and send them to me in a PM.
WT Race Planner: https://www.mediafire.com/download/dwp...ionWT.xlsx
WT teams have 205 race days of which they already spend 172 on WT races. The rest will be in CT. The teams have the option to ride up to 15 CT.2 racedays. However in these races they aren't allowed to use riders with an average of better than 76.
CT Race Planner: https://www.mediafire.com/download/5yu...ionCT.xlsx
CT teams have 160 race days which will majorly be used on CT.1 and CT.2 races. They are also allowed to apply for wildcards for WT races. But the WT races they apply for aren't allowed to have more than 50 racedays combined.
U23 Race Planner: https://www.mediafire.com/download/2ca...ionDT.xlsx
U23 teams have 90 race days. As there are so many U23 teams this season, they don't have to ride all U23 races. But at least 40 of their race days has to be filled up with U23 races. The rest of the races will be spent in CT. Mostly in CT.2 though, as they are not allowed to ride more than 20 CT.1 race days. They are also not allowed to take part in two clashing races. CT.2 races are already put on the calendar the way they don't clash with U23 races, but when assigning CT.1 races, you have to take care.
To those who missed it the race profiles can be found here: https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....d_id=42329
Any questions? Post them here. If too many teams apply for one race I'll decide who gets accepted based on various factors.
I doubt not knowing the GT routes will have too much of an influence on your planning, but the deadline will be for sure after the routes are posted. |

Actually, I don't even want to start with planning before I know the exact routes of the GT. I understand why you made that assumption and i guess it is true for most teams but with as many similar leaders as I have and since the GTs are super important, I have to wait until routes are posted.

Well, calendar planning requires some race planning to see who requires some additional race days

Agreed! With one of the best sprinters and being a Continental team it would be good to see which GT had the mos opportunities to get victories, instead of just guessing a random GT!

The dev team isn´t allowed to ride in the same race as the main team right?
Will the races be linked in the calendar thread?
Are we allowed to sort some races out in the next round if we can´t fill all races we applied for with riders?
tough example, but if we don´t have the race day of the riders left for a wildcard race like the tour de france, could we go out of it after the next round where it comes to riders planning?
