Totally agree with you |

I mentioned the TT ability of a lot of the riders like Boonen that ride TTT as being quite low, but I think it was Matt or possibly somebody else that mentioned for TTT the flat stat is taken into consideration and if that is the case Boonen will be one of the highest in that stat, so changing his TT skills is not too important. |

Ah, I didn't know flat influenced TTT, good to know. In which case I retract my comment of course
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I think it's a bit like the sprints, he doesn't bother anymore. I remember his riding some very nice prologues early in his career, but I guess with his palmares he doesn't bother fighting for a top 10/20 anymore. Either way, if TT doesn't matter for TTT, I think 71 is accurate.

In the 2015 Paris-Nice prologue (won by his mate Kwiato) he did a good ride |

I think that Carlos Verona needs a little push. I told you in Vuelta a España.
Currently he is 69 Mountain / 69 Hills, I think that he could be 71/72 in Mountain and 72/73 in Hills
And another rider maybe Mikel Nieve his hills stats, I think that he could deserves 76 in Hills, with 58 or similar in Sprint |

I think that´s the wrong thread for that...and understandably the database team gives no dates in most cases

Well, since y'all are planning on organizing suggestions, I'll add a couple suggestions myself. I already posted about 7-10 pages back about how Stef Van Zummeren and Robin Stenuit should get upgrades, but I think these riders here outta get upgrades too.
1st off, Cesare Benedetti. IIRC, he got 14th @ ll Lombardia, but wasn't he in the morning break?
His stats as of now in 1.6 are: FL: 69, MO: 63, DO: 59
TT: 67, PR: 68, SP: 66. ACC: 70, END: 66, RES: 65, REC: 65, HIL: 67, FTR:71.
I'd say, based on his results the last few years, this 14th was an anomaly, that he peaked for this race, +5 day, etc. But this performance and other results makes me think these outta be his stats.
FL: 69----> 69
MO: 63-----> 62
DO: 59------> 68-70? (Not 100% sure)
CO: 59------>59
TT: 67------>67
PR: 68----->68
SP: 66------>66
ACC: 70------->70
END:66->68? (Again, not 100% sure)
RED:65->66
REC:65->65
HIL:67->71-72
FTR:71->74-76
Overall, not a whole ton of change, but even if he did peak for ll Lombardia, he still wouldn't get 14th without decent stats and/or a lucky PCM style breakaway. FTR stat improves because he gets in breaks a decent amount of the time according to a quick results check.
Next thing I'd do is take Sebastien Rosseler off of Veranclassic-Ekoi's Roster, he hasn't raced in 6 months, not even in NE classification races in Belgium. I'd also take Thomas Vaubourzeix off of Veranclassic-Ekoi's Roster as well, he's on Team Lupus now. He got an 8th on GC @ the Tour of Qinghai Lake and raced Tour of Alberta w/ Team Lupus. Since they aren't in the DB, I'd just make him a Elite-2 rider. I'd also knock down the stats of Edwig Cammaerts as well; His only result this season, a 3rd at the prestigious Linden-Lubbeek (A NE class race). His only other somewhat notable result; a 14th at the GP Pino Cerami won by Gilbert back in July.
Now for non-Veranclassic riders.
I'd up the stats of Oliver Pardini, rider for Team Verandas Willems. To save time and your eyesight, I'll do this:
Old stat---> New stat (Reason)
FL: 69----> 69 (Has done enough in 1.1 classics such as GP Impanis Van Petegem: 10th, and the bumpy flat GP Wallonie 14th, to keep it)
MO: 61---->61 (He's a TT specialist with a Continental team lead out sprint kick, this is not important, hell, lower it even)
DO: 66----> 66 (I'm not sure if it should go up or down, so same)
CO: 68---->66 (He's done well in Belgian cobble classics, but not that good)
TT: 65---->68-69 (Over the last few years, he's become a TT/PR specialist, with a 6th @ Tour de l'Eurométropole's PR, and 5th on GC. Is also a big engine in Veranda's TTT train success.)
PR: 69------> 72 (Same as above reasons)
SP: 70----->66-67 (Was a sprinter in his earlier years, but has lost a bit of his kick, will sometimes give an excellent leadout for his leaders Dimitri Claeys and Gaetan Bille @ Verandas Willems)
ACC:70----->66-67 (same reasoning)
END:66------>66 (Not done enough in heavy endurance races to warrant change.)
RES:65------->65 (Same as above)
REC:67------->65 (His results in Stage Races fade a tad after 3-4 stages)
HIL: 67------->68 (14th at @ GP Wallonie warrants a small increase)
FTR: 68------->65 (He's not the attacking type, the worker yes, not attacker)
I'd love to keep listing random-arse Continental riders to fix, but these are all I got off the top of my mind. I'll list some more next weekend (maybe some top NE classification riders?). Hope y'all can use these suggestions, I love giving them because I love the Continental and Amateur cycling scene. Thanks for reading. |
