Not the greatest sign for our overall ambitions to see a rider run away with it from a breakaway on the opening stge. Hopefully that's not a sign of what's to come, but admittedly Metinvest's team isn't one you would expect to control the bunch, not even on the flat stages!
Good to see Boasson Hagen close to the front, though. Hopefully he'll be attentive through the whole race.
Thanks for the report and the re-run, sgdanny! |

Thanks for the re-run sgdanny. Obviously it is a bit of a pain, strange the sprinters did not reel that one in.
Metinvest just more glory. Holloway showing again that he has that x factor for the sprints very nice performance from him.

I have to admit I dislike that a break wins the first stage, should be strong enough sprinters teams to avoid that... Hopefully it wont happen again. Zabel well placed once again

Ciolek takes the second place ahead of Roelandts and his team has just missed an PT stage win!
I would trade 20 PT stage wins for one PCT stage win.
Although it would obviously be nice, and second place isn't too shabby either, so good job.

Well, thanks for the report sgdanny. Unimpressed with Howard's sprint even he had a good position at the start.

What, we cant stop winning i guess.
Great job from V.Hačecký to win the stage and wear the leaders jersey. I have not expected much from this race, but it is a good one already. Now hold it man!
Thanks for the report sgdanny!

After disappointing opener, today Degenkolb showed enough of power and outsprint both last breakaway rider and eventually another German hero Ciolek making his manager happy. However, I would prefer better control from sprinter teams.
Thanks for both reports!

Nice to see Dege winning on home soil. Not much more to say from my point of view

Congratulations, beagle! Kind of good to see the Lebris just get caught and the sprinters (at least the best two) have a proper go at the stage.
Another safe stage from Boasson Hagen. Hopefully he can continue like this until the hilly stages.
Thanks for another report, sgdanny! |

Congrats beagle, nice to see Degenkolb winning again after a while. Howard better, but still not good enough.

Great win from Degenkolb, big congrats Beagle, the german sprinters certainly show their strenght on the home soil.
Hačecký is still leading the race for us, so i dont care about Guardini being shite.
Thanks for the report!

Not Zabels best result. ON the other hand a very nice result for Degenkolb. Nice to see a German rider winning here

Congrats, cio93. Ciolek proving he has all the tools to do well in the PT, assuming you promote this season.
Another anonymous stage from us, which is just as ordered. Now I really hope Boasson Hagen is up for it. He has done well in all stage races this season, hopefully this isn't where he decides to change for the worse. |

Good stage, AI finally allowed to sprinter teams to catch breakaway on time and build THREE sprint trains. Unfortunately, despite of good leadout from Janorsche/Lay, Degenkolb couldn´t repeat his yesterday´s performance.
I would congratulate to cio for amazing win, but seeing his reaction I doubt he appreciates that

Depends on how many PT teams disband...
Nevertheless, thanks for the congratulations, wildcard races always went very well for us even back with Bennati.

Oh, that was close! Finally Howard got a good result, I am happy with 2nd place. Could still be better though.
Congrats cio.

Holloway is not quite good enough in this company but he is giving it a decent shot. INterested to see how Skiddypants can do in the hills
