Many adults in my life are older but compared to this community as a whole... Maybe Pfft
But really No, it's a perfectly good middle age Wink
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Yes it is.

But seriously speaking, its good to see another person of my age group on here that enjoys playing these kind of games, especially considering that the majority of the people on here seem to be in their early 20s.

Cavendish of course, I still get tears in my eyes when I think of his time in Team HTC-High Road.

All these whippersnappers voting for Cav but the Tashkent Terror can't be topped.

Super Mario comes close just based on sheer style though.

I am an Asian so I vote for my fellow Asian Djamolidine Abdoujaparov, for me he is the purest of sprinters. But I also like the Manx missile Cav, and Cippo.

I voted Tashkent Terror. Surprised Tommeke is missing from this list.

Can't believe Cavendish is winning this. Sure, he got a lot TDF stage wins, but only 1 point jersey and aside from that 1 Milan - San Remo, he's deperately missing sprinter classics.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Always rated Petacchi and Cipollini as better riders, alltho I really wasnt around to witness their prime apart form Petacchi 2003 in the Tour. I dont know why. I just think they were better sprinters and I have never ever like Cav.

Avin Wargunnson
Maybe because 95% of his wins someone (Renshaw) dragged him to last 100 metres? Someone like that is hardly the best sprinter in history, he is barely top5 imo next to riders like Abdoujaparov, Zabel, Petacchi, Cipollini and these are only from 80-90s and later...
I'll be back

I was listing rather a pure sprinters, which were not so successful in other terrains, which is not a case with Cocaino Tom. He was awesome sprinter just few years anyway...

Only Vattenfall Classics is a pure sprinters' classic.

Well, he never managed to win that one for starters. But I'm also counting stuff like Gent-Wevelgem, Paris-Brussels, Paris-Tours and yes, Milan - San Remo. If the race is often won by a sprinter, it can be considered a sprinters classic. The fact that Cavendish doesn't win those, means that he is a very limited sprinter. In terms of pure speed and acceleration he's amongst the best, but that doesn't mean much if you're already dropped or exhausted when the sprint begins.

GW has only been a "mass" sprint about twice in the last 10 years, i'd not exactly call it a sprinters classic. You can't hold Paris-Brussels against Cav, he's never ridden the race. He's ridden Paris-Tours once, and that edition was actually won by a breakaway and was a very fragmented race.
But he has won Scheldeprijs 3 times as well as KBK twice as well as a number of race wins comparable with almost any other "great" sprinter and ahead of most
