Congrats LLS, but couldn't you have won by beating a different team! Pfft

De la Cruz going beast mode again, nearly had his 2nd GT stage win of the season. Great to see him jump up to 18th overall for his efforts. I think we have seen more of him this race then Fothen who sits 15th overall...

Although I thought we might get the stage win as well, really happy with that with the move up to 7th and the team classification. Going great guns thus far, long may it continue. Thanks SN!

Nice win LLS, what an exciting stage! Amador needs every bit he can get, but he has created a nice buffer for the time being. I wouldn't expect huge gaps tomorrow, but I think Taaramae will pull back quite a bit in the TT. Everything could blow apart on stage 20, however. Looks like we are set for a good finale. Thanks SN!

And happy birthday, SotD. Hacecký in the breakaway can't be bad for such a day Smile Speaking of the breakaway, it looks like we've decided we can only join them on the flat stages, which is kind of annoying as we don't have a top climber here, at least not stat wise. Hopefully Martin can make up for it with more strong performances like on this stage!

Thanks a lot mate... Yeah I was happy to see Hacecký in the breakaway. I really hoped he would stick all the way, but it was just the wrong day.

It's dissapointing to see Lecuisinier staying inactive and falling further and further down, but it is just like the Vuelta, so I guess it is just his style of riding. I would have preferred him finishing 15th overall and attacking for a stagewin rather than ending up 13th doing absolutely nothing.

3 in the Top 30 is nice for Vesuvio, although none of them in the Top 20. Would like to see Kirsch on the attack at some point as opposed to Slagter.

While Lecuisinier has been more inactive in recent stages, it's not really true that he is 'staying' inactive - he was in amongst the attacks on earlier stages after all. Certainly been more aggressive than similarly statted riders such as Fothen, Morton and Ji.

Unfortunately Uran seems to be falling back the further the race goes on. Seems like 8th in the GC is the max i can still get out of this race. Maybe the TT can change something.

What I meant was, that I would rather have a rider who was attacking for a stagewin, and then not doing so well in the GC than having a rider who tries to stay with much stronger riders only to fall back during the final climb.

He isn't trying to go as the first rider, he is always following - And that is fine, if he was trying to secure himself a spot as 6th or so. But securing 12th or 13th is worthless in comparison to attacking way out and getting a stagewin. I guess he is just somewhere in between good and not good, so he doesn't really know how to ride.

Congratulations to Euskatel and LLS. Great victory for you. Now you got as many PT stage wins as I have

Nice try from Faiers, but he needs to attack in the beginning of stage, joining the breakaway! Wink

Good to see Scarponi in the mix to do his usual move up the GC with a stage breakaway. Even nicer to be in the KOM lead for a stage too. Until Pluchkin takes that away too... Wink

I'd agree, I'd rather Ji go for stage wins at this point.

Yeah well there is plenty of guys who could go for stage victories at this point. Not everyone between 12th and 30th can get into a break though!

It feels this year like a lot of the time the riders in the breaks tend to have half an eye on team classification. Not sure if that is hardcoded, just my observation. We have been in breaks a lot on mountain stages here and are sitting in 3rd on teams, Pendletons and Tinkoff are also riding high on teams.

Breaks will always be a mixture of luck and stats. Some riders are more inclined to get into a break (Preidler last year, before he got a stat upgrade). I guess there is a "sweet" spot for breaks, most likely between 74-76

Joe may have a lost a bit of time but great day for the team, Siutsou making up for his near-miss yesterday. Cracking stuff, thanks SN for the quality reports Smile

Congrats to Pendleton's, and well done Tinkoff again for fighting for yet another stage win.

Losing 10 seconds at the end there is a bit annoying, but we've had more than our fair share of time gap awards during this Tour, so can't complain.

I think Rein is now fighting for 3rd, with Amador probably too far ahead. We now need Rein to put minutes into Alarcon, that last mountain stage looks terrifying.

Thanks for the report, SN.

It's a rather anonymous race from Martin, but at the same time it's a good one, as he's looking solid for 6th now with Dombrowski loosing some seconds there. Not much to do about those in front of him though, they're simply just stronger.

Congratulations wackojackohighcliffe! All this talk about Pendleton's going down could once again prove wrong Smile

Jose looking desperately to gain time but little gain still have to admire the plucky Venezualan.

Again top three in teams class in break.

Pretty much TT vs stage 20 here for those high gc places hell even the seemingly untouchable Pluchkin could crack on those climbs!

Nice win for Siotsou

Monsalve doing well, he seems to be hitting a good shape now, a bit too late but he pretty much secured that 10th spot

Disappointed with Henao missing out on the top 10 here, with a rather weak startlist.

And the stage win seems very unlikely too Sad
