Tough choice for me but Boardman comes through.
By the way, Peter Kennaugh but no Vasil Kiryienka?
Kennaugh is far better than Kiriyenka. He is comparable to the likes of Anquetil and Schleck.

Not to discount Kennaugh's abilities, as a TT rider I don't see Kennaugh topping Kiryienka, if visible performances and palmares are anything to take into account. Though Kennaugh is undoubtedly a beast on the track, his main performances there were not for a highly significant period of his career (I don't know about you, but I didn't know who Kennaugh was until 2013), and he has become much more of an all-rounder on the road. Kiryienka on the other hand has many major ITT successes, including Grand Tour stages and bronze + multiple top 5s at worlds. Kiryienka isn't the best of course, but I think he deserves a place here.
Of course this discussion is all opinionated. There may be qualities in Kiryienka I value more than you do, as there are in Kennaugh that you value more than I. This is just what I believe.

In my opinion, neither belong on this list.
Looking for the best TT rider of all time. Kiryienka and Kennaugh have nothing to do here. Against the likes of Anquetil, Merckx, Hinault and whatnot... They don't even match up against Martin and Cancellara, so let alone riders from all eras. |

Oh okay. But I was going on this quote from scatmaster: Kiryienka isn't the best of course, but I think he deserves a place here.
I assumed 'here' means this poll. Which I don't agree with |

I'd say Kennaugh comes in distant 2nd on the all time list behind The Man, The Myth, The Mighty Danny Pate!!!!!
But in reality its not a fair comparison as Danny Pate tops all lists

Danny Pate is just first in the list, because Jens Voigt has his own list. Nobody else meets the minimum requirements.

Well if we are going to be truthful about this then who needs a list? Danny Pate transcends all lists! Beware of worshipping a false idol with Voigt or Danny Pate will strike you down

I like Fabian Cancellara for his big engines and a beast on the classics. But I voted for Monsieur Chrono, because no one came close to Jacques Anquetil, he is a purist Time Trialist the world of cycling has ever had. Too bad I wasn't born during his time to watch him ride.
