Difference beetwen 84 and 83 is much bigger than 83 and 82. You don't want to put any ciclist with 84 in his speciality.

Seems like we yet again end up with the overall mtn stats discussion, Paul' stat's are pretty similar to mine but there are some differences.

Also thanks Paul for the Ewan and Gaviria stats, I'll go with those.

@Fresh these stats are based on the PCM ones and therefore the matrix doesn't usually go up to 85 so they will seem a bit odd to people here, hell if Froome were on 85 he'd be destroying others more easily than he does now.

My stats in bold after Paul's rider for rider here, obviously there are more riders than this but just commenting on the ones that Paul picked out from Fresh:

Froome 83 83
Quintana 83 83
Contador 82 82
Nibali 82 82
Landa 82/81 81
Aru 81 81
Valverde 80 81
Majka 80 80
Van Garderen 80 80
Porte 80 80
Thomas 77 79
Rodriguez 80 79
Moreno 78 77
Dumoulin 78 78
Chaves 78/77 77

I can pretty much live with these stats, although I would love to see Purito on 80, but maybe thats just bias. I have DUmoulin on 78 MO and 79 HI. Maybe thats an option as well. Works fine in my career.

I think alike
dumoulin mon 78 u 77 hill 79

Tafiolmo
Sorry guys I made a typo error for Dumoulin and actually have him on 78 mtn and not 79 and have corrected it (see previous couple of posts) and he has 79 hill.

Purito is a tricky one but as said ealier his hill stat gives him a big boost.

yeah but at the same time froome and quintana are in another level

Bob was asking what ACC for Dumoulin and that makes a good discussion, what should it be?

abdel73
and for sprinter, after his vuelta, i think that van poppel will be better at 78 caleb also 78 no??

AiZaK
Something like 76/77

I'd say around 75 ACC, I think he's on 72 now. Top ACC guys have around 78 upwards and most GT riders have usually between 73-76 unless they happen to be somebody like Uran. He's a big lump of a guy and tends to build up speed rather than a super fast ACC like Chaves did in this Vuelta.

@maxmat

Paul put some good stats for Gaviria and Ewan earlier.

Nice to see that you like my stats for Gaviria and Ewan. Also I would put Dumoulin 75 ACC fits perfectly fine.

You weren't sure about Ewan's hill, so 74 might be a good choice, means that he's not a great hill climber but when he has good daily form and a good leadout he will be a favourite for an uphill sprint, at 74 he would still be 3 points below leader Matthews and struggle against somebody like Sagan for example (but could beat him on a good day which he did at the Vuelta)

Call me crazy but for me, every stat besides rec, res and end maxed out on 85 works good.
Rec, res and end I have maxed out at 75 for the best rider, so that the effect of endurance and recuperation comes more into play.

Is there really a bigger gap between 83 and 84 then f.e. between 79 and 80?

If so, would a database with the highest stats on 80 generate a closer field with narrower diffenrences than a field that has 85 as stat cap?

With your original stats from the DailyDB Valverde is a tad overpowered in the grand tours and also the teamleader instead of Quintana and Contador dominates the giro far too easily, compared to Aru and Landa, who were the better climbers but suck at timetrialing.

Not this again...

Astana played the numbers game 2:1...surely Conta would crack at some point. Contador was also quite isolated, because no-one from Saxo performed well.

Also the whole Astana squad was so OP at this Giro. Conta winning shows his skills.

Just a short question? Do you know a guy, named Lanxess?

I actually agree but what makes you think he's not worth 80 as a lot of people would like to see him 80 mtn?

because it has 81 hill, and this stat helps the mountain, so mountain 79 will perfect
Use forgive translator

This is not a good point what about valverde who's got 81 mtn and 82 hills ? he hasn't shown great results in this vuelta he completely collapsed
