Well as you all know we have a rather split sponsorship within the team with an Australian (Fox Sports) and a Mongolian (Golomt Bank) sponsor. Fox Sports has said all season long that they will stick with us into next season and they support us no matter what. Golomt Bank on the other hand have vented their frustration with the results we are achieving. As of next year, Golomt Bank has decided that they are not going to be a Major sponsor of the team but they have not ruled out be a minor sponsor.
Within the next few weeks we hope to find a new major sponsor for the team. We will keep you updated.

2 Big results for Fox Sports in 2 Cobbled Races!
Over the last few days the Lincoln GP and the GP Herning have both been raced. Both are cobbled one day races which means we sent our best team there which turned out pretty good! With WIM DE VOCHT and GERT STEEGMANS there to lead our team we were looking for some strong results.
The GP Herning came first and here was one of our best races to date! The winning attack came with about 20km to go when he got a gap on the peloton on a cobbled section. When the favourites got together the refused to work with each other which ended up giving Fabien Taillefour the win by 2'42". We had a good results with DE VOCHT sprinting to 7th and STEEGMANS finishing in 10th.
The Lincoln GP came not long after. We had basically the same team at this race. The winning attack came from Langeveld with 37km to go. People chased but no one was going to catch the Strava rider. Langeveld took the win by 1'11" ahead of De Maar. STEEGMANS finishes in 8th which is a great result but means that we have failed our 3rd goal of the season.

Hello everyone.
About 2 weeks ago we told you that we were looking for some new sponsors. Well we can announce some things about our sponsors. Golomt Bank and Fox Sports both step down as major sponsors. They feel as if we have let them down having not achieved any of our goals as of yet. This news came after we failed our 3rd goal in the Lincoln GP. After this news we sent out or businessmen to find us a new major sponsor or two as well as a minor sponsor.
We are proud to say that we have signed 2 more contracts with 2 new sponsors. The first is a new minor sponsor by the name of People For Bikes. We thought that by having this logo on our jersey we would be spreading the word of a fantastic organisation that helps get biking safer on roads.
Next we have the new main sponsor of the team. Nothing is set in stone on whether this will be the only major sponsor we have but we will keep you posted. The new major sponsor of the team is
We are looking for a major sponsor in Australia at the moment as we really want to stay part Australian but as of next year the team's HQ will be moving to New Zealand!

Tour of Iceland - Good Finishes
Stage 1 was a 38km TT. We didn't have a very good first stage with our best rider being DASPUNTSAG 2'31 behind. Stage 2 was a lot better. GIACOPPO finds a great wheel as usual. He is on the wheel of Westling who is on the wheel of Richeze. GIACOPPO comes around and manages to finish a great 5th place!
The 3rd stage brought the hills. DELGERBAYAR got into the large breakaway. Unfortunately the breakaway was caught. DELGERBAYAR finished 1'03 behind the winner. The final stage brought us back to the flats. LOSCH in the breakaway. In the peloton GIACOPPO finds the wheel of Richeze, However, the breakaway is still out front! 3km to go and LOSCH attacks his breakaway companions! The stage is won by Fankhauser ahead of Paiani. LOSCH holds off the sprinters and takes 3rd place!!

Giro del Capo - Roe in an Attacking Mood!
The Giro del Capo is a 6 day stage race which covers all terrain. 2 flat stages to kick start the race. Followed by 2 hilly stages to shake up the GC, which is then followed by a mountain ITT which will seperate the GC riders from the puncheurs. Then finally a hilly stage to close of the race a the battle for the GC. We have brought a team centred around ROE and DAVIS. We are aiming for the mountain ITT and the sprints in the flat stages.
The opening stage proved to be a great stage for the team. A breakaway got away as expected however they didn't last and were caught with plenty of time to spare. The sprinters got into position. Davis found the wheel of Meyer. Serebriakov took the win with his team mate coming 2nd. Abdallah was 3rd with DAVIS coming in a great 4th spot! Following the hype of stage 1 we were expecting another decent result from DAVIS however he couldn't give it to us. Stage 2 was won by Pozdnyakov who took 2nd yesterday. Stage 3 was the hills. We had no part in today's stage. The winner was Branislav Samoilev who won in a sprint to Der.
Stage 4 was once again a disappointment. The winner was Alberigo Passalacqua. Stage 5 is the mountain ITT. ROE set the early lead and didn't lose many places after that. ROE took a great 4th place on today's stage. The winner was Mauro Finetto of Generali who managed to take the top 2 places on the stage. Der backed up yesterday with a 3rd place today. The final stage was a bit better for us. ROE got away and took 8th on the stage. The winner was Moris Possoni. Der took out the GC.

Time Trials Prove to be a Big Disappointment!
The Monterrey TTT and the Isle of Man ITT have been on this week and well...if you don't look to closely it looks as if Fox Sports - Golomt didnt't actually show up!!! If you look for pictures online about the races you won't see any from our team. GIACOPPO was the best placed for us in the Isle of Man ITT coming in 30th place 3'20 down! The winner of that race was RBC rider Kai Reus.
The Monterrey TTT was even worse. The winning team was RBC Pro Cycling who prove that they are the best time trialing team. We came in 17th place beating only 3 other teams. Overall a big disappointment for us at Fox Sports - Golomt Cycling!

Interesting decision to become a Kiwi based team - surprised to see no comment from Jandal yet
I imagine Bewley would be in your long term plans then?

Thanks
I have been compiling a list of some kiwis we want to add in the long term. Bewley is on there but he will be a very hard rider to sign. I'm looking more at riders like Bennet and Scully.

Racing in Poland - More Bad Results
The Tour de Pologne has come and gone once again. This season it was very much hill orientated so it didn't suit us very much. With neither DAVIS or GIACOPPO we weren't expecting a lot from the sprint stages. ROE also wasn't present so we weren't going to get a good GC result unless there was a very succesful breakaway.
Stage 1 of the Tour de Pologne was a hilly stage with a flat finish. It was the breakaway that made it all the way and Strava's Langeveld took the win. Stage 2 was a flat stage and brought out the top sprinters team Novatek who took the victory with Evgeni Popov. Stage 3 was probably the hardest stage of the race. Once again the breakaway somehow managed to stay away. This time it was In-n-Out's Joey Rosskopf who took the victory almost 3 minutes ahead of the first GC rider. This day saw Rosskopf take the GC lead.
Stage 4 heads back to the flat roads. LOSCH makes it into the early breakaway. The breakaway is caught on time though and it is going to be a bunch sprint. Split in the peloton and another breakaway attempt! In the end this 2nd breakaway attempt held on and it is Gatorade's Anton Varabei who steals the victory! Stage 5 is back in the hills. There is a lot of attacks but the breakaway manages to stay away! It is Oskar Omarsson of the Verkefnid Iceland team that takes victory. Rosskopf manages to hold onto the GC. The 6th stage looks very hard. No breakaway victory today. This time it is the minion himself Nick Kinney who takes the victory. The final stage is a flat stage. JACOBSEN finds himself in the breakaway today. The group manages to stay away. Craig Lewis of Team Type 1 takes the victory today. JACOBSEN takes 6th and the best finih of the week for Fox Sports - Golomt!

The 3rd CT Rankings Update today. We are still higher then projected but we are slowly moving down. Without a stage victory this year we are running on fumes. Morale is low, form is high for some riders and low for others. We just really need to get a victory to get that morale up! Let's take a look at the CT Rankings.
1 | 3 | | Strava | 1132 | 2 | 15 | | Novatek-Panarmenian.net | 891 | 3 | 1 | | Compal-Merida | 884 | 4 | 2 | | Indosat - ANZ | 876 | 5 | 7 | | Generali - Kronenbourg 1664 | 822 | 6 | 9 | | Fablok - Dunlop | 802 | 7 | 11 | | In-n-Out Cycling Team Powered By Carrefour | 702 | 8 | 8 | | Netia - Norske Skog | 699 | 9 | 5 | | Alpina - Avianca | 691 | 10 | 6 | | DeLaval - Kiitokori | 683 | 11 | 4 | | SanCor Cycling Team | 677 | 12 | 12 | | Carlsberg - Danske Bank | 658 | 13 | 13 | | Severstal-Mercator | 657 | 14 | 10 | | Lierse SK - Pizza Ullo Cycling Team | 596 | 15 | 16 | | Verkefnid Iceland | 548 | 16 | 24 | | Akzonobel - Statoil | 513 | 17 | 14 | | Actavis - DKSH | 499 | 18 | 19 | | Gatorade - SIS | 474 | 19 | 21 | | OTP Bank - Slovnaft | 461 | 20 | 18 | | BelarusBank Pro Cycling | 389 | 21 | 17 | | Chiquita - Universal p/b Minions | 317 | 22 | 20 | | Fox Sports - Golomt Cycling | 294 | 23 | 26 | | Sodexo ProCycling | 284 | 24 | 22 | | Elta - Hellenic Post | 279 | 25 | 23 | | Fred Whitton Race Team | 274 | 26 | 25 | | Team Type 1 | 154 |
As you can see Sodexo Pro Cycling is now right behind us because of the stage victory and the GC of that same race. It's amazing how quickly the standings can change when a team starts to win.

Tour de Slovenie - Big Finish for ROE!!
The Tour de Slovenie is a race the team has been looking forward to all season! We have sent ROE as our leader. He will be there to stay with the group on the hills and then make his break in the Individual Time Trial on stage 3.
The first stage was a flat one. We have DAVIS and STEEGMANS but both managed to miss the sprint all together. Stage 1 was taken out by Kazushige Kuboki of the Actavis squad. The 2nd stage was the first day in the hills. Marc De Maar was the strongest that day.
The 3rd stage was the Individual Time Trial. ROE is doing very well at the moment and is expecting to move into the top 10 today. Aramendia of the Gatorade - SiS squad took the victory by 9 seconds to Rolland and a further 5 seconds to Boaro. Roe finished 41 seconds down in 10th place and moves into 5th overall on GC!
Another flat stage in the 4th day. LOSCH tries the breakaway today. The breakaway was never close and was caught with just under 10km to go. The winner of the 4th stage was Kirill Pozdnyakov. The final stage was another hilly stage. ROE is still in 5th overall at this point but could lose it with a bad performance today. The winner of the day was Zielinski of the Fablok - Dunlop squad. Roe stayed with the group and confirmed his 5th overall! The GC winner was Pierre Rolland of the Generali - Kronenbourg 1664 squad.

USA Pro Cycling Challenge proves a challenge while Cobbles prove teams main strength!
The USA Pro Cycling Challenge was always going to be a hard race. We sent the team there to try and get a stage win out of it however that proved to be an impossible task with riders like Kruopis and King there for the sprints, Haga for the TT's and Gilanipoor and Novak for the GC. We did get a few top 10's which will help us with moving up the table but it won't come to anything if we can't score better then the teams below us.
DAVIS managed to sprint into the top 10 on a couple of seperate occasions. Firstly he came 8th in stage 1 and stage 3. In stage 8 it was JACOBSEN who got into a succesful breakaway and came in 8th place. ROE proved that he is a great time trialist coming in 6th place in the time trial. In the end though it was Jakub Novak from In-n-Out who took the GC lead. He never faltered and always looked good! ROE was our best coming in 30th overall.
Luckily for us during this race the Cigar City Brewing Twilight GP was on at the same time. This was a hilly cobbled race. We had both STEEGMANS and DE VOCHT here to fight for victory and fight they sure did. The victory went to the Strava teams Ermin Van Wyk which proved they really are the best cobbled team in the CT. STEEGMANS managed to sprint to 4th in the finale just missing out on a podium by a matter of inches. DE VOCHT also managed to hold on for 6th place putting 2 of our riders in the top 6.

After a lot of talks with different sponsors and designers we have finally found the sponsors we like and a fantastic jersey designer that has created a fantastic looking shirt! Only 2 more changes have happened to our sponsors. Gruppetto Azzurri has left and has been replaced by the well known Castelli. Also a sponsor has been added and that is Island Records. They will be with us to record our team song!
So without further ado...Here is our jersey for the 2016 ManGame season!
A massive thankyou to bwiggins for making such a fantastic looking jersey!! We hope you all like it!

Come on, it was like an hour But now I'm here All I'm saying, if I do get in we may be in for some interesting battles
Beauty of a jersey, but now you've taken the pattern I was planning to use you better watch
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."
