Hi,
I've been trying to add a race using the fast editor for a while and a can't seem to let it work. I've used the tutorial by Luigi and followed all steps carefully and when I go to the race menu, it is there! But then, when I click on simulate or start the 3D race, it crashes. Someone knows why or knows a better way?

This is very simple and takes only a few minutes. Since my English is very bad but I'll explain it on the basis of images.
Step1: Open the PCM Fast Editor
Step2 Click left on STA_Race, then click the + sign at the top center
Step3 Name of the race and an abbreviation for the race. Maximum 6 characters. And the country where the race takes place.
Step4 Open your games directory as where is the .exe file, open the folder CM_Stages. In this folder includes all stage files
Step5 Choose the stage files that you need for the race and then copy the name you like on the screen to see. Important: no 01 and 2015
Step6 Write here now the copied from CM_Stages, the classification of the race, the prestige of the race and the number of stages that the race has
Step7 after or next to it, the email address of the race and the teams involved in the Single Race mode
Step8 now can you search on the Internet a racing logo and convert it using the free program IRVAN VIEW to TGA format. Size 64x64 pixels. Rename it then as the name you enter under the Constant, here tourdetaiwan, and save it in your games directory under Gui / Race Logo
then the Classifakations XML. If the race Cat 2.1 is then here clas 21.xml.
Step9 Here are the characteristics of the race. With or without ITT. With mountains or hills only ?. With cobblestone or without.
Step10 Now it gets a little tricky. Untick the entry "UseList in Grid". As can be seen in the picture
Step11 Search the race. Go to column fkIDfirstStage and write here the 1691 This is the 1st Stage from the race with the ID 691.
since the race here has 5 stages, write in fkIDlastStage the 5691
The 5th Stage of the race with the ID 691
Step12 It only takes STA_Race, Open now STA_Stage
Step13 doing here 5 new entries by pressing five times you on + 
Step14 Rename now the ID's in order. In First Stage = 1691
second stage in 2691, and so on.
So 1691 is the 1st Stage from the Race whit the ID 691. Thereafter, 2691. The 2nd Stage of the race with the ID 691
Since the race here has 5 stages, called the Last ID then of course 5691
next in the column then the ID of the race. In this case here, the 691
Step 15 and the Last Step And then the region in which the race takes place, the day of the individual stages and the month. All right, here not in the picture you can still set the climate zone. to make the hook in the "Use List in Grid" back into

I use lachi's and haven't been able to make it work...
Could someone do it for me? I know its not the idea, but Im just about to quit this shi*...
I have the races, also from this page, and PCM Db 1.5... I've already edited adding three teams and some riders...
I'll upload my db and you'll just have to edit it...
If someone could be so kind Ill be really greatfull...

use the PCM Fast editor instead of Lachis

Well downloaded fast editor, took my PCMdaily_ExpansionPack_v1_2015NC Db and did everything listed above step by step, double checked, and I thought it was perfect, but... Crash to desktop
Hate that Plouay... each time I try to include a race, this shows up...

Is it crashing or are you getting GP Plouay?
Two different problems.
Plouay shows up when it can't find the file you have referenced. Make sure you have named the CDS and ZCES consistent with the name in the DB and they are stored in the right directory (Pro Cycling Manger XX\Mod\Stages)
On the naming: in Sta_Race it should be something like
racename
Cyanide and PCM use a specific structure with the race type and class followed by an underbar and a name but that isn't required, the key is that there is no spaces.
Then the file names of the actual files should be:
racename_2014.cds
racename_2014.zces
or if it is stage race
racename_01_2014
racename_02_2014
The second term matches the stage of the race.
And if there is more than one variant then the last term should be different in each variant (the actual values don't matter as much as long as they are different. Typically they are either a year for specific year versions or the name of the stage maker/version)
Crashing could be because the stage file is corrupt or there is something wrong with your entries in sta_race or sta_stage. If you still have an issue PM me your CDB and I will look in the next few days. |
