If they get it right...

Mezgec will add an interesting dynamic to the team. Wonder if he and Mathews will ride a similar schedule, and Mathews will now solely target uphill sprints with Mezgec flat (although he's not that bad on hills)? Quite interesting. Was this the 'marquee' signing they were talking about?

According to Wielerflits.nl, Mohoric leaves Cannondale and signs a 2-year deal with Lampre-Merida.
EDIT: also Nick van der Lijke joins Roompot after this season. |

Not sure if I like this.
But I guess it's good VDB and Lotto part ways, it wasn't healthy anymore |

Makes sense for Orica as they only have Matthews (certainly not a pure sprinter) and Ewan for the sprints, they needed another sprinter and Mezgec is a rider who has some upside
Edit: I forgot they also have Magnus Cort

Lampre have made some smart signings this time around and look to be keeping some talented riders, surprised by this as they have been an average squad for a few seasons. Now if only they can get Costa to accept he isn't a GT GC rider and go back to the rider he was then they could have a good year in 2016

Surprised Giant let him go as he's a main leadout man for Kittel, unless like a lot of leadout men Mezgec fancies himself as the main sprinter. |

Well he's 27 so if he's going to have a go at being a main sprinter then nows the time, you'd think he would go to the Giro where he has performed well in the past and even in a team that will take a couple of riders who could feature in the mountains OGE will still have riders to form a sprint train.

Contador confirmed the Nieve transfer on Twitter
Edit: My bad! It wasn't Contador himself but apparently a guy who is a soigneur on the team who has the account albertocontador info, I read it wrong so yeah it's not confirmed

Mezgec's 27?
