More teams, less riders database

Hi all,

I am thinking about making a database modification based on the PCM Daily database. Using the existing riders and sponsors in the database.
The idea is to decrease the amount of riders per team (to 18-20 riders maximum) and only allow 5 riders in grand tours and 4 riders in other races. This will allow 40 teams of 5 riders (200 riders in total) instead of 22 teams of 9 riders (198 riders in total) for GTs. For the the one day races and other tours a total of 4 riders per team will be allowed and 50 teams, like the current (200 riders in total). Maybe I allow less teams in races such as Santos Tour Down Under.
The idea is distribute the best riders over 36 WT teams and even more continental teams. With smaller teams the peloton will be harder to control and there will be more competition in sprints, climbs, hills, etc.

My questions:
- Do you like this idea?
- Is 40/50 teams per race allowed in the engine if you edit the database?
- Is 36 WT teams possible in the engine/database?

So what is the maximum amount of teams allowed in a race (except for the WCs)? And does this also applies to GTs?
