I have just finished my 3rd Season on Be A Pro. At end of my 2nd year, I signed a 3 year contract with team Sky (being my fav cycling team). In 2017 Team Sky have randomly been renamed "National Bing" and their Jersey has changed. They still have all the same riders (Froome, Yates, etc) but just name and jersey has changed.
Has anyone else experienced this and is there a way to change it back?
Yes, it's a game feature, which I personally think should be optional, especially for AI teams. To do something about it, you need to use an editor. A permanent fix would require starting a new career. Before you do that, you load the db you are using into the editor and open the table DYN_sponsor and edit gene_i_contract_end (first/current contract) as well as value_i_year_max (sponsor definitely withdraws from cycling) for all teams.
Editing a current career could be tricky, I've never tried. You'd load your save game into the editor and open the table DYN_team. There you'll find the new National Bing (still with the abbreviation SKY). Try and change it back, select Sky under fkIDsponsor, change the country, change the gene_sz_name and _shortname. And go to DYN_sponsor and make changes to Sky and National Bing. contract_end for Sky will be a negative number, change it to something like 2050, for National Bing to 0.
If you are lucky, that should be all, the editor should make further adjustments automatically. Select the table DYN_cyclist and make sure your riders are now all with Sky again instead of National Bing. Definitely choose a new file name when saving in case something went wrong. Other tables might still need adjustments.
