I think that you will end up being forced to sign a minimum wage contract with your current team.
That has happened to at the end of July, but the team had already offered me a larger contract before that.

Hello
First time playing a PCM game and loving it.
My question is what nationalities and teams are best to choose if I want to compete in U23 races? I am currently a British rider in my first season with Rologne ( British team possibly not the correct name).
I want as many races a season as possible mainly because I want to do more races and minorly to make my rider better.
Sorry if this has been answered already. |

Has anyone has a tip to get a top fitness before the race, I can't seem to get an Excellent fitness, just good and very good. I understand how rhythm, freshness and tiredness, but I would gladly listen to any tips and advice. Also about training intensities.
Thanks in advance

Did a little search but could not find it as clear as I want:
I've a contract of 6500 with Tinkoff-Saxo, as I forgot to sign a contract in the first year for 7000. But now I can only offer 2500, so it is way lower, while I am starting to get way better. (winning stages on WT-level)
Anyone has had the same problem?

Solved it, after closing PCM and starting PCM again, it went up to 26500 xD

I did for about 50 times and it just recycled the same 8 teams for me. I guess I will just go the harder route thanks anyway You can't sign for a U23 team the first year. You need to play one season, than sign in one the next season.
Don't ask me why...
You can with most other countries. I've done it with Ireland, great Britain, Slovakia, spain, france, and russia. Are you playing with the patch?
They said explicitely that they had removed that possibility, and I tried with a french rider, I clearly couldn't start with any of the U23 teams (Vendée U or Chambéry...).
On second season however, I could sign for Chambéry... |

After a couple of seasons the amount of riders in the teams are weird. Most of the World Tour teams and some of the Pro Con teams have 30-36 riders in their squads and several Continental teams only have 7-8 riders.
It botheres me a bit, so are you guys ignoring it, or can I change something in an Editor to solve this? Other than releasing a bunch of riders on every team with an editor. |

Has anyone managed to get selected for the Tour de l'Avenir or the Worlds? Or does anyone realize how the selections work?
Thanks in advance! |

How does one create a picture for his cyclist? It looked like it was a simple 64*64 8bit tga, but if I create it that way, it shows as a square and not a circle in-game... |

However i cant see my save in the load screen. Doesn't still to work when i save over the current save either. Any idea whats i'm doing wrong here?? |

Too bad we can't play Ncup (ex. Tour de'l Avenir) anymore, after the 1.2 patch. Also I have yet to race in an U23 races. Although I am in an Under 23 team.
I was selected on World Championships in my first season and this happens to me every time I create a rider. Just be a constant rider in every race. You don't have to win everything but some handful of race wins will do, you'll just have to be a consistent finisher, like top 10 or top 5 in every race.

Go for an Italian continental team.
MG. Kvis-Vega (VHS) is my favourite so far.
Unieuro Wilier and Team Idea can also be alright. |

I'm trying to make a classics-sprinter who focuses on flat, hills and cobbles, aside from the sprinting and physical attributes.
However, playing team career, it's extremely powerful to just make a train and then ride the train to the finishline and win. Even I can do that, and I do consider myself rather much of a noob in this game.
So in my be a pro career, realizing I most likely wouldn't have anything that looked like a train, I simply tried following one of the favourites in the flat PCM Daily Cup 2, but it pretty much seemed like my dude just maintained his pace, instead of actually following him. There was always about 4 riders' distance between his backwheel and my dude and I missed out on the sprint, even though I tried following him the last 15km.
Any tips on how to win sprints if I can't get a wheel?
Putting it to 95 effort and asking my dude to follow a good sprinter (who had a train) seemed like my best shot, but when he can't even put in the effort to get to that wheel, it's just a big fat L, innit? |

Hello ya'll. I made a swedish climber 19 years old and world class level. I wanted to make him a balanced cyclist so I trained with the axis baroudeur, puncher and nothern classics. Despite this it keeps putting points mainly in mountain, so now my rider halfway through his second season is 77 mountain, 73 hill and the rest low sixties/high fifties.
Is this some sort of bug? It pisses me off a little anyway. And btw I'm also using the 1.5 "expansion" |

@Lamba
For sprints I find that riding on an effort value around 80-85 within the last 10 km will move you towards the front and from there on it should be possible to latch onto a wheel of another favourite. As soon as you click follow your effort value is irrelevant as your rider will do everything he can to catch the wheel of the followed rider. What is important is that you're just behind and riding at roughly the same speed as the rider you want to follow, since your rider then won't have any catching up to do. Also you should generally avoid trying to follow a rider on the other side of the road as that often will create gaps.
Put simply, you should effort on around 85 till you're just behind the rider you want to follow, then follow. From there on you should be attentive to make sure you don't lose the wheel but if so swiftly change to effort again until you catch up again or find another rider to follow.
@Faewulf
Every rider type has pre-determind limits for every stat (see spreadsheet on page 43), which means a climber will never be good or even decent at cobbles and will generally develop climbing skills regardless of what you're training.
If you want to make a balanced rider I recommend you download PCM Fast Editor and edit you rider's potentials. Sadly this ruins the experience of customisation a little, but since the un-edited experience hardly allows for any customization since every rider of a particular type will be almost exactly the same at full potential, it is still more enjoyable. |

Alright, thanks for the answer. Had tried to open it with lachis editor and the editor coming with the game but I receiver errors. But this fast editior worked great.
So there's no way to create a Gallopin-esque rider in the game without editing? That is decent/good at pretty much every stat. |

A puncheur would probably be fairly close although he would still struggle a little in TT and only have decent sprint.
Riders like Valverde, Sagan, Kwiatkowski, Cancellara etc. are however impossible to make. |
