Hello and welcome to the revamp of the Tour de Youtube! After a 2 year absence we are back with the online PCM tours series. Only this time with a twist!
The Rules
Every player had to make their own squad of 9 riders. These riders started at a variable base stat, depending on their function in the team. Then everyone had the chance to upgrade these riders from their base stat. The amount of stat upgrades allowed depended on their function in the team as well.
We will play custom made tours (where we still need stages for). Based on our performance in these tours we will get additional stat points to use on our riders.
We will keep track of how many stages and tours every player has won. Obviously this is the whole point, winning stages and tours

Now that this is public. I'm not against Jews. I just want to set up a Frequently asked Questions for Dem Joews. No insult here.
(If you feel insulted, too bad I guess ) |

Don't or I'll sue you as I was definitely away on the last climb until you drove into my backwheel. |

I have just updated the teams, as we are going to start our first tour this evening! We have heard though that 1 or 2 players won't be able to come, we'll see how it pans out!

So last saturday we only managed to do 1 stage, we are going to continue with the next stages today, but we might need to remove the hilly stage because it has crashed repeatedly. I will make an update about what happened in stage 1 shortly.

Tour de Youtube [#1] - Stage 1
Stage 1 was a seemingly flat stage which would mean no problems for the GC favourites. However, this view of the race quickly shattered when the peloton went underway. Quickly after the start of the race the wind started to pick up, causing a lot of riders to fall behind.Main victims were Spotify and Maersk, losing up to 3 riders in the first 50 kilometers. Only Bic managed to keep all their riders.
After all the chaos in the beginning oof the stage, the peloton finally let the daily breakaway go. No one of the players managed to get anyone in the break, mainly because of the fact that everyone was trying to follow the fast pace in the peloton.
Going on to the finishing stages of the race, the break got caught quickly by the fast pace of Etixx and Lotto Soudal. As more and more riders started to fall of the peloton, no one really managed to make a real sprint train.
Bic's attempt on making a sprint train ultimately failed
The final sprint uphill was very chaotic and nobody really could explain what happened. Ultimately it was Ben Swift who took the stage in front of André Greipel and Julian Alaphilippe. None of the human teams managed to get into the top 10.
Bic Pro Cycling was the 'winner' of the stage today. They managed to get 12th with their main sprinter, and not lose any time in the GC. Big loser of the day was Team Eurosport, who's leader ultimately lost a wopping 3 minutes on the front of the race.
The best positioned human riders of todays stage
Bic's GC leader didn't lose any time
Eurosport's leader though...
