Amazing race for Cofidis, 3rd in GC beyond my wildest dreams.

Oh, come on!
Why doesn't Po-ding follow the favourties
10th, 11th and 12th isn't really bad - still, much more could have been achieved.

Jose nowhere at Trentino, thought it was a good chance to show off his climbing prowess but alas if you are not in top three guys you do bugger all.

Good reports, Kim is definitely not in shape yet. He really needs to step up before le Tour.

Of course Spilak had to finish 4th.
Those places that are just below a place with more ranking points seem to magically attract my riders.. |

Well, for some quick good news then, Katusha jumps into the top 10 (though it's all still very close there). Cofidis also goes up a few spots, but pointwise they're not close to promotion just yet.

3 more startlists out and the Giro should also start soon. Does anyone have some free time to report Romandie, I need a replacement for that?

Rund um der Finanzplatz Frankfurt preview
It's not Scheldeprijs-flat, but the hills are far enough away from the finish to see it end in a sprint. Lucky spectators you are, for the big three have signed up for this one. Belkin has Marcel Kittel for the sprint, but with only 5 in support, his team doesn't look that good. Andre Greipel does have the full team, and with Sieberg, Henderson, Van Hummel and Vangenechten, Lotto is most likely to control the race, and the sprint. Team Sky sends Marc Cavendish, but he also seems to lack a bit of support. One would have expected home rider Benedikt Weschenbach here, but it in no secret he and The Manx Missile don't get along well.
Having these 3 in the field, means that it will be hard for the other sprinters. Still a few big names there though. Adrien Hanzen for BMC, already third in Milan - San Remo and he can take the hills better than the 3 above. Bryan Coquard for Europcar, in pure speed he is among the best. Carlo Calzone for Movistar, he's already shown great stuff in weaker fields. Sacha Modolo for sprinter team Bardiani, not that fast, but he has great support. Ricardo Martinez Machado for Caja Rural, who's having a great rookie year so far.
Other teams will have to rely on a breakaway or make a split on the hills, as I don't see them challenging the great sprinter field here.

As I'm reporting the Giro on PCM15, I had to convert the EPIC database to PCM15. I told Ollfardh this and in return he wanted me to share the database.
https://www.dropb...2.cdb?dl=0
Here it is and you should now be able to play EPIC on PCM15

Great job. I have added the link to the post on the front page for easy reference to all.

15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Also I had to base it on a PCM15 database, so you have to have the EP v0.8 installed in current form for it to work. Also it still has that annoying "Lazer Helmet-issue", so if all reporters that like to use PCM15 for reporting and want this solved, then I can make it compatible with the v1 and helmets will be fixed

But hang on, isn't there a new feature that influences the number of crashes? What is it like? We need a set value for this before racing.

base value seems the most logical if you ask me just like difficulty should always be at base level which is normal

I'll be on holidya for the next 2 weeks, as per usual Atlantius is in charge. Quite some startlists were sent out, so hopefully people will slowly find the time to report. If all goes well, I have a lot of catching up to do when I get back

This is awkward. As I deleted pcm14 I deleted all screenshots without backing them up first dumb jandal.. New Scheldeprijs on pcm15 or text report with no full results?

Let's just have the text report then, as results should be final

Not final results
Spoiler
Hello and welcome to Antwerpen for the Scheldeprijs. The conditions are good with slight winds and we are almost ready to begin. Apologies to you at home as we mentioned that there were cobbles: NO COBBLESTONES today people, but the long dreary flat roads could still do something for a classics specialist.
From the drop of the flag Verschoor (TNN) attacks, followed by Di Corrado (BAR), Lemoine (SOJ), Day (UHC) and Declerq (TSV).
Hatanaka (COF) leads a group trying to bridge, including a Colombia and a Crelani. The peleton only hopes it isn't Nys. But Belkin and Lotto chase hard, and Verschoor and Day give up from the front group.
But the pack sit up just for a moment and guess who?
Marc De Maar (UHC) follows Vaugrenard (VCD)'s attack. Nothing comes and the Belkin-Sky-Lotto alliance seems happy to let the trio still up front go. 4'00" with 150km to go.
140km and 5'40"
130km and 6'19"
120km and 6'30"
110km and 6'22"
Alf Pedersen (SKY) has a puncture now which despite the hype is one of the highlights of his season.
Now the peloton are slowly pacing again, though behind the seven or so regular pacemakers (Belkin/Trek) it's mostly clumps of teams protecting leaders.
100km and 5'30"
90km and 4'53"
80km and 4'25"
70km and 3'46"
60km and 3'07"
50km and 2'45"
Offredo (FDJ) goes! Maes (TFR) follows. These rapid time decreases could change with a strongman like Offredo in the break!
40km and Break-1'06"-Chasers-13"-Pack
34km to go and Offredo and Maes are now caught by Belkin and Lotto. The break though are now 1'34" ahead.
Maes again.
Caught again. Di Corrado senses he needs to do something. Easily countered.
Offredo again.
Under the finish near 20km to go gives us just 20 seconds difference. Lemoine goes.
He's caught underneath the 10km banner. It's gonna be a sprint!
Under 5km to go, there's three trains. Lotto, Sky and failure. No surprise it's everybody trying to get on the former two.
3km and here's the situation:
| | | Debusschere | | | Sutton | | Greipel | | | Rowe | | Demare | | | Cavendish | | Kittel | | | Goss | | Brookes | | | Renshaw | | Calzone | |
Suddenly Sky have two bike lengths with only Goss hanging on! Despite Debusschere's prime position round the corner!
Now it's Rowe
Cavendish
Goss
Greipel
Demare
Kittel
Brookes
Calzone
Everyone launches!
Goss is faltering but nobody else. Especially Cav!
Kittel with the best sprint to power into second but it's the Manx Missile with the best team and position! WOW what a show of dominance!
1. Cavendish
2. Kittel
3. Greipel
4. Demare
5. Calzone
6. Rowe
7. Goss
8. Brookes
9. Renshaw
10. Cancellara
