Hello to all,
I started a career with Etixx and I'm in Tour Down Under. I have Trentin as my main sprinter here but what I see is that is impossible to me to arrive at the sprint.
I haven't my train so, with 6-7 km to go I take the wheel of Kittel or Sagan or Kristoff. What happens is that I completely finish my yellow bar and almost half of red bar in staying at their wheel between 5 and 1 km to go, so it's impossible for me to sprint.
Obviously I don't expect to win against them but to arrive at the sprint with red bar safe yes.
I have a pretty decent flat value (76) and I don't believe that all of them are in a peak form at Down Under.

In PCM 14 I can easily stay at the wheel.
How can I do at least to try to sprint?
Try using one of your best helper (1 or 2) to make a tiny train. Other factors like his shape and season targets needs to be considered aswell.
“When it’s hurting you, that’s when you can make a difference”
I don't know their freshness and condition but it seems very absurd that in January someone like Kittel or Kristoff already have very good condition.
It seems also very unrealistic that, althought in medium condition, a 76 flat stat can't take the wheel of a 78-79 flat stat, for 5 km, without using all yellow bar and half red bar.
Most of sprinters have their goal at Tour of Oman, GP of Dubai and Tour of Qatar, often these guys have a great shape at the start of the season, then they will have a shitty shape until the Grand Tours. that is most of the time the life of the pcm 2015 sprinter winning the Grand Tour Stages and Tour of Qatar, GP Dubai and Tour of Oman

This is interesting; I have never thought about this.
So a sprinter that doesn't run classics (for example Kittel) could have a first peak at Qatar-Dubai-Oman and a second one at TdF?
But I think in general that with this version of PCM there is more difference in rider performance between a good shape period and a medium/worst shape period.
Benji thank you for the video but probably I don't explain myself in the correct way.
I try to re-explain.
I know perfectly how to do a sprint train, I do it regularly when I have Cavendish and Renshaw in Giro or Tour.
What I see in the first stage I play is that is a bit unrealistic that Trentin, with 76 flat stat and average shape, use all yellow bar and half red bar in 5 km at the wheel of Kittel (78 flat stat).
The question was that I have difficult in making sprint because I completely burn out my rider in taking wheel of other sprinters.
