@Miguel: some nice ideas there, but I will try to get a human drive the SC. Maybe I got one for that job.
About the tracks: I'm looking into this already, so we will probably add some new tracks(although racing tracks, not made for F1 in F1 cars is imo more difficult)
Driving aids are enables(ABS, TC and Auto-Shift(or Auto-clutch for that matter)
Well, even if it seems F1 2015 will win this voting (even though WCP hasn't released their final version of their F1 2015, which is by far the best mod team out there currently), most tracks are still great fun, even though DRS can't be used on those, sadly.
Since the calendar will be something like with all the current F1 tracks, I imagine we could add tracks like the Nurburgring (I'm fairly sure there's a good version of it out there IIRC), or even the old Hockheinmring for a german round (there's a great version of it for rFactor). A french round could be good too (although the calendar can't be too long though), and we Magny-Cours, Paul Ricard, and Charade (a great old track) that could be used. |

I don't think this poll is an accurate reflection of what the current member-base wants.
Nearly everyone who joined so far has expressed a preference for relatively slow and sturdy cars with a roof.
I propose that the organizers select some good mods which fit this preference and that we vote on those.

I would love to race Magny-Cours (got my first poin in a league there) and the old Hockenheimring, for sure.
DRS won't be used anyway. I'n my history of leagues, the DRS plugin was way to difficult to install for most members and it was far too unstable, so we never really raced with it. It should be fun and not "I push a button, you can't defend, since I have 20kph more speed" I will increase the slipstream a bit for that purpose.

We will make a seperate strawpoll exclusively for drivers soon. Don't worry.

Very nice.
Nice to see you also can understand a bit of the .plr file yourself.
And yeah, I've always struggle to install DRS plugins (or any plugin, for that matter).
I imagine we'll be racing always on dry, or you'll be trying to set weather with the RFE plugin? |

Personally I think racing these cars: https://www.xtremefactor.es/en/descarg...-2012.html would be fun. Not the fastest, and not identical either which could be fun if everyone would just pick a car prior to testing them. Adding weight penalties for winners would equal any differences pretty quickly, and I guess these should be easy enough to drive for anyone.
For tracks I'd say please look for a decent Surfers Paradise track, not too many overtaking opportunities, but enough chances to get things wrong.

Expect a pm very soon with some strawpolls regarding some of the rules that have been discussed here already. I will create another strawpoll on Tuesday regarding which series we should race. But for now please vote on the strawpolls I will be sending you as quickly as possible. The voting deadline for the strawpolls is Saturday at midnight GMT.

I want to use the RFE like the last time. I also edited the rain, maybe I've got the file for that on my PC. Otherwise I would simply need to adjust it. The weather will vary from race to race. f.e. Bahrain will have a 0% chance of rain, while Silverstone will have a big chance of rain. But the weather will be still randomly, since I don't want to have an advantage, knowing when its going to be rainy.

I sadly cant open the link, but since VTCC is written in the link, I think I know what you mean...
Also I can make cars identical, since I will mod the physics anyway, if thats wanted.

VTCC yeah, Touring Cars like the Honda Civic and Volvo S60 which are FWD but still pretty fun to drive. xtremefactor also seems to have a few nice tracks which could be used with these touring cars such as Macau, Circuit of Miami and Zolder.
Cars identical would help a lot, if they're not pretty similar already.
Voted on all strawpolls!

After reading this article, I agree that (a mod based on) the BTCC is exactly the kind of racing that I think would work well for this league.

Identical cars in terms of speed/handling/etc but with differing looks (like last time) would be perfect.
My straw poll results have been submitted (albeit in a slightly unique manner).
I don't know rFactor that well but those Touring cars look great (i love me some touring cars, blame Race07 which nails them). Opens up a lot more opportunity for track selection as well compared to F1 cars, thanks to the lower speeds.
Some-one mentioned Charade, that would be a tricky race but fun. Magny Cours is a dull dull dull dull track. Kinda the same for old Hockenheim, it's not good with non-f1 car sets. Paul Ricard is alright though. Macau is tough as f*ck but would be a good race. Zolder is awesome with touring style cars. Miami i've never raced in a video game.
All my knowledge is kind of based off Race07. I can name some good tracks from there which should be good in rFactor, as most of them are actually converted from rFactor anyway. Just hit me with a PM and i'll try and get some time to come up with suggestions (but as you know i'm currently not online a lot so probably won't be in time to help the decision making process).

May as well sign up again
Nationality:
What time I can race: (GMT aka PCM.Daily time on a Saturday) Evenings. Weekdays are better than weekends. Will be bound to miss races if on Saturday evenings as before, but that's fine.
Which rules you want to see: Nothing not already seen in this thread, TMM has posted a lot of good ideas imo
How often races are: (Every week, every second week etc.) Every 2 weeks seems fine.

Great, we have hit the ten driver mark!
Also, miguel98 and fjhoekie's links for mod didn't work for me, I couldn't download them. I am installing a closed wheel mod right now which I will upload gameplay of in a around 45 mins |

In rFactorcentral, you need to create an account to download files.
Also, another thing: we should have one mandatory pitstop. |

For sure we should have a mandatory pitstop. Brings in more tactics.
