Tour de France 2011 - Stage 2
The team time trial is relatively short at 23 km (14 mi) and mostly flat, so large time gaps are not expected.
As our team is number 10 in the team classification, we is starting as number 10. We need to stay together and we must not crash as what happened to the Bbox team...
However it looked like the Bbox team (now Europcar) had learned the lesson and was in the hot seat when we started. The team had surprised and lead in front of the Garmin team with a half minute. Is Thomas Voeckler the next guy in the malliot jeune?
First time check: 11:33 (+1:32 - HTC-Highroad)
OMG, this is ending very bad, if we not ride faster! Vincenzo wants to ride in front the rest of the stage - this sounds crazy!
Lampre and the Vacansoleil team had just passed us. Come on Nibbles - ride faster!
Alessandro Petacchi leads the Lampre team, meanwhile we are overtaken by the team...
Second time check: 21:57 (1:19 - Lampre-ISD)
Well, we are going fast right now, we had caught the Vacansoleil team, and it gives us motivation! And by the way we have the 5. fastest time right now! Good Vincenzo, ride faster!!
Wait...we had just caught the Lampre team! Can we take 1 minute on them?
Goal: 31:32 (0:22 - Lampre-ISD/Europcar)
What a good day for us, Vincenzo saved the disaster and we was 4th!
If we not had Vincenzo, the TTT could end really bad for us! Thanks Vincenzo! I had lost my white jersey, but it's not what I looked for - I had jumped a place up in the point classification! Yay! What can I do in the flat tomorrow?
See you later!

When I played this game with Liquigas-Cannondale:
Sgan won stages 10,11,13,15 an 16 and also took the green jersey.Btw,stages 11,13,15 and 16 were won from the breakaway
Nibali won stage 12
Basso won stage 19 and the GC as well.As well as KOTM
And there is not any difficulty thing in this game.If you play with a stronger teeam you will do much better but if you play with a weaker team you will be much worser.
Also look out for Contador in the mountains. And oh,don't attack too much with Basso.Use the circle button if you want to get a gap without using too much energy. Also on Luz rdiden stage in one of the corners the AI beaks too much.Don't break at that time. Also they brake on the last corner on Alpe d'Huez.Don't break there as well. Also try to use the stage 17 and its tricky descent into its fullest extent.
Hope this helps!

Tour de France 2011 - Stage 3
A flat stage who suit the sprinters for a thrilling finish!
Mark Cavendish (HTC-HIGHROAD)
Tyler Farrar (GARMIN-CERVELÃ’)
Andre Greipel (OMEGA-PHARMA - LOTTO)
Start of the stage
The stage is flat and will probably end with a sprint. I have no chance when the masters come, but I can maybe come in top 10. My goal today is to win min. 10 points to the green jersey. The sprinters have their respective teams in the front, so there can't be a chance for a breakaway victory. However 5 riders tried and there is a breakaway! The 5 riders are: Anthony Geslin, Koldo Fernández, Leonardo Duque, Alexandre Pichot and Bjorn Leukemans!
Nothing much happened on this stage, I just chit-chatted with Peter Velits.
When we reached the intermediate sprint, the breakaway had over 7 minutes.
Sprint!
I became number 1 in the peloton!
To be continued...
Spoiler The Game broke down

Actually winning the green jersey is not that hard in 2011 version
Heck I even won it with Leukemans and Nuyens
I won it with Bennati in Leopard-Trek
I won with Nuyens in Saxo-Bank
I also won with Contador in my another play on Saxo-Bank
I won it with EBH in Sky(murao22 will be happy)
I won it with Leukemans on Vacansoleil
I won it with Sagan on Liquigas
I won it with Voeckler in Europcar
I only couldn't get the green jersey with Euskaltel from the teams I have played with |

Tour de France 2011 - Stage 3 [CONTINUED]
Well, I don't know what happened with the Internet. Apologies for that.
Only footage with me
Well, it was a boring day for me - I spoke with Przemyslaw Niemiec (leader of the Tour) , whom said that he probably don't have the yellow jersey tomorrow. A favorite to the yellow jersey tomorrow was Alessandro Petacchi according to him.
The sprint was won by Mark Cavendish - I was number 12, because Mark Renshaw blocked me. And Przemyslaw was right - Petacchi will be the leader tomorrow.
A boring day - that's what I can say!
Well, tomorrow is a uphill finish - maybe I can be in top 5 once again?

Great story I played this game a few weeks ago, but with an update, so the rider stats where adjusted. Great memories from this game where the highligts was winning with Taaraamäe and finishing 4th with Casar. I also remember Freire to be ridiculous OP before the update. |

I don't remember exactly(It was 3 years ago), but I was top 15 in Gc and was allowed to go in a breakawy on stage 13 and got yellow. Managed to keep the yellow yersey until stage 18, because of good decending(Weird part of the game) on stage 16 and 17. Did a ok Alpe d Huez and a mediocre TT which got me 4th overall in the end. |

Thanks everyone!
Tour de France 2011 - Stage 4
This is an undulating course, with a steep hill shortly before the finish. Mur de Bretagne is a place where you need to be ready, if you want a win.
I read that I am an outsider to the win after my stunning stage 1 ride! I am surprised that I am so respected by a so big newspaper as L'Equipe! I feel me motivated!
And the stage had begun!
The stage started more peaceful than the other stages - no one attacked! I spoke with Petacchi about his yellow jersey - he was sure that he keep it today! Meanwhile I dreamed about a stage win today. At least I hoped that I could get 20 points in the intermediate. On the roads nothing happened...Gislin won the category 4 climb, and then a period where nothing happened.
6 km to the intermediate an attack came! It was surprising Thor Hushovd, Jimmy Engoulvent, Juan Anthonio Flecha, Tom Boonen and the most surprising name; Mark Cavendish! I think that Cavendish wanted the green jersey. I also attacked - or tried - but the peloton didn't accept that I attacked, so they caught me! I think that they had read the newspaper this morning!
However I tried once again, and this time I came close to the front group! However the head wind tired me. "Now or never", my head said, and I tried a last time to get the 20 points. I passed them and...they passed me again...
I became 4th - and virtual I am 4th in points standing! I let me back, so I could relax a bit. The front group including Cavendish however wanted to continue and they had once 4 minutes.
With 10 km remaining they have 1:28 - and Flecha had attacked and trys to go the whole way solo! This could be dangerous!
With 4 km they have 38 seconds! Flecha is still trying to go for it! And we have hit the "Wall": the slopes are about 3%.
We have caught the Cavendish group - all we need is Flecha to be caught!
With 2 km to goal Flecha gives up - now it is time for a sprint! But I am getting far behind! Maybe too far. Fortunately they ease the pace in the final kilometer. Me, Rojas Gil and an Italian guy from AG2R trys the best we had learned to get to the front. Maybe I was too quick - suddenly I am leading the peloton. A Katusha rider starts the sprint and is really good looking to this stage! He has 3 bike length and suddenly he stops! What in the earth is he doing?! I try to come around him, but Evans, Voeckler and Samuel Sanchez is coming out of nowhere to battle to the win, and it is...SANCHEZ, who can celebrate this win. I became 5th once again.
5th - okay result once again! But the best is that I am now number 2 in the point classification! What can I do tomorrow?
See you then!

Tour de France 2011 - Stage 5
A short stage who suit the sprinters well.
And the stage has started!
Well, a flat stage where the wind can be a challenge. There will probably be much movement in the peloton, so it can be difficult to say who will be the winner. I want to try my best to defend my second place - and maybe I can close the gap to Cavendish?
Going downhill...
5 riders was in the breakaway today, Koldo Fernández, Leonardo Duque, Anthony Geslin, Sebastien Turgot and Bjorn Leukemans - they are beginning to be familiar with the breakaway...
Geslin won the category 4 climb.
With 7 km to the intermediate they had over 6 minutes. Because I feel me like a journalist, I spoke with both my "rivals": Mark Cavendish, Alessandro Petacchi and Andre Greipel. Alessandro looked a bit pissed of, because he lost his yellow jersey. Mark just wanted to defend hid green and André wanted to find a way to win. If it is ending with a sprint, I will feel me...slow. Meanwhile I sprinted with 500 meters to goal, and I held them behind me.
My DS said that if I can be in Top 10, he will give me a Ferrari. I want it! Let's see what I can do.
With 10 km remeaining they had 50 seconds, it looks like a sprint finish! Today I will try to start the sprint with 500 meters to go, last time Renshaw blocked me, so I have some words with him...
With 4 km they was caught, now I can just think on the finish! It is a bit hilly the last km, so I can use that to my advantage! Duque still wants to go for it and he is in the front! What can he do in the sprint?
Scarponi had dropped as the only rider! Good that he is not in the yellow...
Last kilometer - anyone seems to have their sprint train ready, I am all alone. 700 meters, Team Boonen had come for give him a safe sprint - or what? Oscar Freire in his back, I am behind Oscar. Cavendish is behind me and the other sprinters. 500 meters I had started my sprint, and I am in front! 400 meter, 300, 200...the goal is just ahead of me, am I winning?
OMFG, I had just won my first stage ever in Tour de France! This must be a joke. I am shocked, the team are shocked. It can't be true, I must lie down for a moment...
I am so amazed that I could hold some big guys behind me! How could I do that? Am I so strong? And I had got my green jersey! I am leading it! Nevermind for now I should party, see you then!
