Another awesome day for us. Absloutely loving the pic with all the ONCE guys in the front!
Gaining time on everyone behind brajko is as perfect as its get. Top 5 looks better and better.
And yeah, I guess Brajko benefited hugely over the guys without great secondaries.
Andy has this in the bag imo

Guldhammer doing his best, following the right splits and all that according to his abilities. Can't complain at all
It will be difficult to keep Denifl behind though, but still being almost two minutes in front is a handy lead.
I wonder if that was Ricco just missing the right move, as he probably was the fastest after he hit the front and put Guldhammer in difficulties, or if he's simply not capable of following. I suspect a thing inbetween, which gives him a shot at keeping the jersey another day, which will mean this could very well come down to stage 20, which would be epic.
Thanks for another quality report, roturn! |

Hardly. Madrazo is in a strong position to TT to victory right now.

Did I miss something extraordinary in Madrazo's TT stat? As far as I know 77 vs 74 isn't going to make a huge impact. Clearly it can give Madrazo an edge, but to be honest I can't see Madrazo getting more than a minute on Schleck in that TT, while Schleck will probably be stronger in the remaining mountain stage, if only by a bit.
Madrazo is likely to take 2 minutes or a bit more on Ricco, but not on Schleck I think.

I really don't understand how can Brajkovic be better than Velits in every single mountain stage in this race... The battle for the victory is amazing though. Thanks for the report, they are great to read roturn.
Poor backup stats I guess... Same problem Denifl has.
If we check the three riders and their physical attributes:
Velits: 75, 74, 76
Denifl: 75, 71, 76
Brajkovic: 77, 80, 80
I guess it is why Ricco also does better. He is 80, 81, 81
Ricco, ok. But Brajkovic better all the time? I really thought MO 83 should beat MO 81 even through MO 81 has quite a bit better support stats.

Madrazo is likely to take 2 minutes or a bit more on Ricco, but not on Schleck I think.
Gap is only 1 minute between Schleck and Madrazo right now, and that isn't enough. Schleck is constantly missing out on time bonuses and barely gaining anything besides that, plus the remaining mountain stages suit Madrazo more with the downhills.
Certainly Schleck has a chance, but it is far from in the bag.

2013 Tour de France Stage 7(ITT)38.2KM:
8Angel Madrazo 1'47''
45Andy Schleck 2'26''
2013 Tour de France Stage 17(ITT) 43.5KM:
2Angel Madrazo 8''
24Andy Schleck 1'33''
2014 Tour de France Stage 6(ITT)55.4KM:

So,it is looking like 50/50 |

Yeah if it was the same PCM version
I agree that Madrazo can take anywhere from 30 seconds to 1'20" on Schleck here, but I still believe Andy will win the race, because he is better on the climbs.
But clearly it is going to be close, and it should be. It is an awesome race with all the tension it needs between two so strong riders. I am just happy that Ricco has been able to mingle in for so long. It is evident that he is going to drop behind those two, but if Ricco can go well over the next stage I will begin to dream of the final podium spot. For now I am slowly beginning to dream of top 5 instead of top 7.
All can fail miserably though, if he stays with his team instead of attacking with Andy and Madrazo. Then he could easily lose 4-5 minutes to some guys that went early. - Especially when there is a downhill section. Ricco isn't a superior downhiller.

Only Cunego and Nibali are better than Ricco on the downhill, of the top guns. And don't see any chance of either of them passing Ricco. Ricco is almost certain to podium imo.

And caught up.
What a fantastic race. I'm backing Schleck to win from here, but would have so loved to have seen Cunego not have lost that time early in the race

Artem you absolute beauty! Polka Dot jersey will look great on you, wear it, defend it, win it!
Orlov DNF, was to be expected, still it hurts to see.

Ricco still holding strong, impressive race from him. Nice to see Kohl do well also. But slipping down to 14th is a disaster.

Bad day for Pinot, losing time to Nibali and Uran plus dropping to 12th thanks to the breakaway. Anywhere between 9th and 14th is possible now, still hoping for a top 10 though. |

Interesting stage, nothing is decided yet, great reporting Roturn and congrats to Wacko!
Guys you can debate how long you want about TT stats of these three guys, but everything in a TT will be decided by random dice roll and its result called daily form, THAT will be a decider. Madrazo can also gain 0secs on Schleck if the daily form difference should be like 5 points in favour of Schleck. Or he can win 2 mins if it is other way around.
Guardini and Hacecky out, that leaves us with 4 guys. Fight Zmorka!

Oh gosh, absolutely terrible breakaway gameplay in the GTs, like nobody in top10 and their teams dont care about their positions and riders threatening them?
Terrible terrible engine, i am not even sure if i am looking forward to two GTs with Pluchkin...
Congrats to Project though!
Ricco has sure podium i would say.

Indeed terrible gap. That said a similar gap was given this TdF as well or Adobe years ago in giro and tour. |
