Hey is it only me that finds it almost impossible to get points and QG ranking point with a team like Quick Step? Stage wins and having the green jersey gives almost no points
is it only me that feel this way? |

Quick step might actually be one of the best if not the best team for cya world tour points because they have a great team for all the classic/major 1 day races.
You should be able to get a lot of points from all CWT MAJ, CWT CLAS and also be able to compete in multiple CWT TOURS for GC.
And with uran you could even perform well in giro/vuelta. So yeah quick step is probably the best team... |

Ok but is there classics where sprinters like a Cavendish, Greipel, Kittel can win? |

Milan-sanremo, Hamburg would be best for sprinters but quick step has Kwiatkowski, Stybar, Terpstra, Alaphilippe, Boonen with some very good domestiques. Quick step is like a handmade team for the majors/classics... |

Dont even Think you get points for winning the green jersey but only stages

In my experience, pure sprinters generally are terrible "value for money" when it comes to World Tour points. If they cannot handle hills or cobblestones then the Hamburg Cyclassics is pretty much the only 1-day-race where they can compete for a win - and even that can be "stolen" with a late attack. Stage wins in mass sprints in GTs are the other obvious option, but the competition is usually tough.
Real life rankings confirm this. In 2014, Kristoff was in the top 10, Degenkolb and Sagan in the top 20 - and they have these extra abilities. Kittel was the best pure sprinter in 37th place and had to win 2 stages of the Giro and 4 at the Tour to even reach that place.
But of course with Quick Step you have plenty of excellent riders who can win you a lot of races and points. |
