Unfortunately there are at least two possible reasons so we don't know for sure. It could be them wanting to hide records of doping, but it could also be them wanting to hide records of their legitimate training, so that other teams don't use copy their methods and make it harder for Sky to succeed. In a competitive environment you can't expect teams to reveal information that would give an advantage to their opponents.

I don't want them to publish their training but their blood passports and watt outputs.

A lot of people have said that Froome has risen from nowhere, but if you were going to choose a rider to dope into a world beating superstar, wouldnt you choose one of the successful British track riders (as well as Wiggins) and not some half baked African kid with a mediocre palmares? Surely that would make for a more plausible champion.

So, are you telling me Froome doesn't dope because it would be too obvious that he dopes?

I think it's speculated that Froome doped on is own first, because nobody wanted some half baked African kid, and he had no contract for 2012.

Read up on Bilharzia and red blood cell counts. I continue to say this is the smoking gun.

Oh and as said above, he pulled a Horner in the Vuelta. It was a pretty obvious dope job that only went under the radar because and even more obvious dope job won the race.

I would actually imagine he would have been ran out of the sport for doping if it wasnt for Cobo winning that race and having all the doping attention on him.

If anyone wants to see how delusional these Froome fans can be. Take a look at this thread of a guy I am talking to on Reddit.

Oh god he really was RoboCobo in that Vuelta, that was one crazy race and a true homage to old school doping..... Actually you could really say that about any Vuelta Wink

So is it the theory that Froome doped to get noticed but Sky are also doping so he kind of got accepted? Or is it that he doped himself and Sky are clean but simply didnt notice, despite their masses of tests and Brailsford is showing blind faith to a cheat in his ranks? I refuse to accept the latter.

So then we're saying that Sky are an organisation with a doping policy. So there are too many big questions raised here, including:

- Why have they had only mild success in races outside the TdF despite targeting them? Particularly the abject failure of the Wiggins and Porte attempts at the Giro and also the Wiggins/Froome defeats at the Vuelta. Not to mention the likes of the classics.

- What on Earth are Sky doing to sidestep doping controls? Why have other teams with equally massive budgets been unable to do the same (unless of course the other guys are working clean).

- A dirty Sky means a doping Brailsford, and that means the whole of British cycling for the last 10 years or so. So all the olympic successes too. Too big a lie to keep under wraps.

What are you on?

1. Sky didn't have success outside the TdF? Check the winners of Paris Nice, Romandie and Dauphine since 2012.

So, in your eyes, just because they don't dominate all the races they are in, they must be clean.

2. This is US Postal all over again.

3. Lol, what?

Very rarely anyone before won both Dauphine and TdF in the same season.

Then comes Sky and does it with Wiggins in 2012 and Froome 2013 and this year.
They're on form pretty much every stage race they enter.

Well yes the British track team would be doping, Track racing as a whole isn't clean. Sky aren't the only squad side stepping doping controls, others are aswell and the reason we don't see more positives is multil layered, the funding to anti doping simply isn't enough, the bio-passport has given people parameters to work within especially with micro dosing, the UCI as a whole isn't to keen for a string of positives as its not good for business.
Also Sky haven't been dominating the other GT's but have been doing very well across the 1 week and other stage races. This year they have Paris-Nice, Dauphine, Catalunya, Trentino, Algarve, Ruta Del Sol and soon the TDF.

Why should they dope outside of the Tour. It's the only race they care for as it's the biggest one and these are the only results that matter for them. Plus that mild results is a strong word. All the stage races Froome takes part in he's a potential winner so as not to have big wonders about him doping by sharp differences in shape.
- What on Earth are Sky doing to sidestep doping controls? Why have other teams with equally massive budgets been unable to do the same (unless of course the other guys are working clean).

Ask the UCI about that. Since all the accidents with Froome they haven't even checked him. They tried once, but somehow accidentaly the hotel didn't allow them access to Sky and they never tried again afterwards...

Why should they dope in other races. The commercial they get from the Tour is much bigger than if they dope all their track and road riders. It's much easier and not drawing too much unwanted attention. As you see their tactics work perfectly for manipulating people who are too naive to think a little as a criminal mind.

Thank you to those who are making measured responses, rather than simply saying OMG YOU SAID WHAT???

Old school cycling was followed by effective heavy doping cycling. But that has subsided and what remains is still viable for performance enhancing but is less effective and still carries a significant risk of detection. The rise of Sky has coincided with the fall of heavy duty use of EPO and related drugs. So is it not too bizarre to believe that once you take the big dopers out, the real talent can shine through?

Its too easy to believe what you want to believe rather than the truth (we're all guilty of it) and I think that the Froome doping inquiry is driven by a hatred of him or Sky rather than an objective quest for clean racing.

I actually have very objective doubts of his cleanliness. First of all how he suddenly became 2nd at 2011 Vuelta when I never heard of him until then. Secondly, I browsed him in Wikipedia back then and saw how he was a complete nobody and had surprisingly become so good after an illness. I thought it was just surprise show of talent then and he would turn out to be an one-day miracle. When he carried on in 2012 I started doubting him more seriously but still thought he would never be on the same level of Contador, Purito, Valverde, etc. When he destroyed them in 2013 with watt outputs on Ax 3 Domains matching Lance's I knew something was wrong. A man can't suddenly become the best at 27 without showing any potential before that. Moreover, when asked about his wattage then he claimed he can match Armstrong and Ulrich without doping.... Yeah, sure.... Not speeds so that it has anything with technology, but watt output... And when we what Sky have done this year which I won't write again as it's already above, I just can't believe them, not until they post officially Froome's, Porte's and some others' blood passports. Nothing more. Wink

Exactly. Say After that that Froome is a nice guy and also didn't deserve to be attacked.
