Preview for this stage should be up in a bit. |

Movistar basically the only team which can be relied on in order to chase down the break. Sky wont do that the following 3 days, probably only on the Alp, which is a shame. They dont have a super strong team apart from Nairo and Valv, but tomorrows stage should be easy to control up into the Allos which they should do. 2 good shots for the stage win. The yellow dream is somewhat unrealistic as I dont think the stages up until the last is hard enough to create significant gaps. I hope I am wrong with the La Toussuire-stage, but I fear guys will just wait until the last climb which in itself isnt hard enough
Dont think there will be too big gaps, but considering this is the Tour and we are in the 3rd week, if they decides to go (which they will on the final climb regardless) the timegaps compared to the Dauphine will be bigger. |

I really do hope we see attacks on the descent of the Col d'Allos today.

We will see surely attacks because it is a very technical descent and Contador and Nibali are good descender, it's a scary descent. |

I probably sound like a douche, but it is necessary to post that in every thread?
But yeah, I do too. Lets hope for some action the the ascent and on the descent, I do think the descent isolated will create huge gaps. Sky will go faster than in the Dauphine |

Sky will go faster than in the Dauphine Effectively, what l am doing is posting something which is in the first post of each stage thread. Is it neccessary for them to do so as well. No not really, but it's there. You also have the option to skip over my post if you wish. |

Can't see Sky going all in to chase a break today, I think Froome want the Alpe stage after his shambles the last time he went up it so they might ride tempo today. Movistar might want to make it hard to isolate Froome but I don't see that working today unless Sky completely collapse before the descent. I think a break wins today with Nibali and maybe Contador trying to gain a gap on the descent leading to Pra-Loup

Breakaway will probably win today. Still expect a rider form Astana and Tinkoff there to help on the ascent of Pra Loup after Nibali and Contador attack and bridge the gap on the descent . |

Porte is apparently on antibiotics too for what that's worth - teams appear to give riders antibiotics at the drop of a hat so it's best not to read too much into that yet.
"I heard you sniff in the team bus, doc full course of antibiotics on the double!".
Should be an explosive start today, though it would be unwise of Sky to implode in the first hour unless someone goes who is within 10 minutes (so the top 10 basically!). It really doesn't matter that much if 30 go clear and other teams have a couple of helpers, it can only gain you so much while most will be going backwards quickly when the GC battle kicks off anyway. |

ASO should really in the following year consider to broadcast more stages in full length, especially short one like this. |

Exactly, just start the damn broadcast an hour earlier. Its clearly the most interesting part of the stage, apart from the finale |

So peloton down to 50 and Tejay Van Garderen is missing.
Such start is crucial after a rest day. |

TVG at the medical car. Possibly a problem here? |
