Whole different game. Can only steer with your pro a bit and for the rest it is the same as career mode.
TdF game for console is much more arcade than this, which is more management.
(I believe the TdF game does come with a name editor though)

TDF isn't more arcade, it's more simulation, as opposed to management. But I wouldn't say very much more arcade.

Hey
I was thinking about starting a new carrer and i want a type of rider like Sagan, any ideas how i can manage to become the type like him?
I am trying to do that too, I would advice you to start as a cobbled specialist and evolve your rider to 81/82 coblestones, then start training him for hilly classics, note that this type of training is really good for the cobbled classics because of improved climbing skills (in the hills) and better endurance. when you reach like 78/79 hills try to trian your rider for the sprints and note that in this point you should allready have like 70 sprint with 75 acc due to the other trainings. When you are happy with your sprint, if your rider can still evolve you can make hima a little better in the cobblestones to be the top rider in those classics |

More importantly, What is your space bar technique? I can never get out of processing days easily. Do you hold down the space bar, tap it once or repeatedly hit it? |

3 taps on the space bar should do it, but only works when the simulation is changing days not when its simulating races, but you can simulate to a specific day if you go to the calendar.
i for once tend to simulate until every monday so i can adjust the trainning for the upcome month |

Hi everyone! Does anyone else have a problem with transfers?
In my Be a Pro game, after 1 year at Auber I signed with Wanty, and looking at the roster I saw that 14 out of the 24 riders were recruits. First I didn't pay attention to it, but then during the races it wasn't unusual for me to see teams with 4,5 or 6 new riders out of 8. I started to have serious doubts about this, and now that I am in the transfers period of my second season I watch this out more in details.
Aaaaand it's even worse... I'm at the beginning of August, and the transfer market is completely insane. In my team Wanty, only 8 riders are supposed to stay next year, all of them (including my rider) because they have a 2-year contract. Absolutely none of the riders with a contract ending in 2016 is staying in my team. Which means that we have, for next year, 17 recruits (out of a 25-riders rosters). I wanted to know if this problem was only for my team, so I take a quick look at the transfers of the World Tour teams. The results are terrifying : 19 recruits for AG2R, 19 for Astana, 21 for BMC, 21 for Etixx... And the market is still open.
I think they completely forgot (on purpose or not) to set up a system that makes a rider being more likely to sign with his current team instead of another one. I think I will end my game there, well because even if it doesn't make the game unplayable, I have absolutely no fun with this situation. I find it totally annoying and of course unrealistic to have what is almost a random database after only two years of game.
Does anyone know if there is a way to fix this problem? I started my game with the patch 1.2 and the vanilla database, will it be fixed with the PCM Daily? And more important, will I have the same problem in a regular Carrier Mode?
Thanks for your answers |

Is it even possible to win the Giro/Tour double? If I try I end up winning the Giro, but my form and freshness in the Tour are so bad that it is impossible. Anyone here who have managed to take the double?
It's possible. If you want to do that from january until giro rest! Just a small race before giro of 5-6 stages. Reach TOP after 9-10 days of GIRO and when you finish.. REST! Untill Tour.. no races between. Same with Vuelta.. |

I realised that too and was about to post in wishlist topic to increase the chance of a rider being re-signed with current team for the following years. In my 3rd year of Be a Pro career maybe 20-30% of riders were still in the same team as in my 1st year. It's a bit too little after only 2 seasons.
Also there appears to be a bit too little variety in nationalities of riders signed by teams. In my 3rd season, in Cannondale there were only 3 or 4 riders who were not American, Italian or Dutch and in Giant there were only 4 or 5 who were neither German nor Dutch. I didn't check the other teams, though. |

the nationality thing happens because if you go to the sponsor areas of interest in the db, it says from with nationalities the riders the team hires, and haves on the team should be.
contrary to older pcm games this time the value of those nationality preference for sponsors is over 95%.
this could also explain why teams dont even offer contracts to riders of other nationalities that already are in the team and be the cause for so much riders chanching teams?
not sure this is 100% accurate, but i got that impression, although it still needs some testing to make sure this is really hapenning. |

Also there are quite a lot of good riders from exotic countries. The guy from Taiwan finished 6th in the Giro and another one from Morocco was 3rd in Dauphine prologue in my career. There is also 79 AVG sprinter from Thailand, guy with 76 MO and 78 TT from Gabon also riders with 76 TT from Lesotho and Namibia, 76 HI from Syria, 78 CO from Zimbabwe, 79 CO from India and 77 MO from Curacao. Year 2018, a bit too early for that IMO. |

Unfortunately DB makers can no longer change the chance of good riders coming from certain regions in PCM 15, only the amount of riders, chance seems to be the same for everyone.

I both love and hate my team on be a pro now...I am in IAM and they have an amazing team and have helped me to Giro and Vuelta win and 3rd place in Tour de France even if I losed 5minutes on one mountain stage after a fall. But I have made an american rider, but IAM never take part in the Tour of California |

I love and hate my team as well.
On one hand, we're invincible
On the other hand, we're too strong, my own teammates attack me. The entire TDF selection has 80+avg riders, except for Senechal, who is 79 avg
I'm the best climber with 85 mo, but we also have lopez (84) and quintana (84) mo who are major opponents.
Transfers are so dumb in this game, and i still have 2 years tinkoff left before i can leave |

Hmm... Yeah, that team sounds pretty...ok...IAM is very good overall team. We have 4 sprinters with 80+ om sprint, GVA on cobbles(80cobbles). And in mountain im the captain with 83-79-77(mountain, hill, time trial) and Kelderman as the main helper and captain in races I dont race(80mountain) And Uran(77) Frank(77) Lopez(76) and sometohers on 74-75. So we have a strong team in IAM in 2020... |

Why can't I just get in that fucking breakaway. I'm 10th in TdF with over 14 minutes to the leading rider. But they won't let me in the breakaway. HATE! |

Currently sitting second in the Vuelta on my second attempt at a stage racer, second season. Got lucky at the Tour of Pologne (won a stage from a breakaway, just...) to earn myself a ride here, after getting lucky at Trentino (mountain jersey here after a decent break away, with Tim Wellens suffering a puncture preventing him from scoring any more points on a key climb).
Anyway, I broke away the stage before the ITT, got a huge amount of time, before winning the TT to earn a heap of time over the Yates brothers, who are now riding for different teams (Sky and Orica). Currently Froome is in the lead, just over a minute up on me. I daresay he's going to open up a much larger gap, and I'll be lucky to hold out the remaining 10 stages to second.
Playing on the PCM 0.8 DB, on hard. Stats: MO: 76 HILL: 78 TT: 78
When you can't decide between two options, flip a coin. Not because the result of the coin will choose for you, but because, in that split second before the coin lands, you'll know what side you want it to fall on.

Hello,
First of all, I want to say I have been playing this game for quite a few years and the new mode is just brilliant! It was just the boost the game needed. Of course it needs to improve in many fields (you guys already have been referring to the major “flaws” that should be addressed, as so for the improvements Cyanide could make to render the mode really epic!).
Nevertheless for a first year mode, in my humble opinion, it is far better that I was expecting.
I created a 19 years old, portuguese rider (since I´m from Portugal), for stages, who joined a Portuguese Continetal Team (Tavira) for his debut.
I have just finished the first year, and maybe I have been unlucky because my rider could only participate in 38 race days. Not because he was injured or anything but because my team didn´t have any other races I could join, besides the one I did. In fact, from August to October the calendar was simply… empty!
Nevertheless it was a lot of fun! I didn´t manage to win a race but had a second place, two top 5, some top 10 and a few mountain an young leader jerseys.
I have finished the year at level 13 (if I´m not mistaken) and my stats evolved quite a bit but nothing I was expecting from what I have read here. Maybe the latest patch addressed this issue a bit.
I have trained him mainly in hills (can´t remember the right word in English since my game is in Portuguese) and for a few levels in baroudeur (I think it is called this way). I wanted to give him a boost in acceleration, resistance, endurance, flat… the main stats I consider important and that are quite low on a stage rider in the beginning.
Nevertheless, it still gave me points on mountain and therefefore at the end of his first year the main stats are:
FL 66, MO 74, HI 70, TT 71, PR 70, CB 57, SP 58, ACC 61, STA 66, RES 66 and REC 70 – overall: 71
It is nowhere near as impressive as some o you have achieved but I´m very happy with it since it is high but not exaggerated at the point where I can win everything right away.
I´ve been struggling to raise the acceleration stat. I know there is the idea that the baroudeur training system is the most rewarding overall but the truth is that it never raised my acceleration stat. On the other hand I have found that it does with the hill training system.
Now, in my second year, I have joined a Pro-Continental team, the former “Caja Rural” that this year had a new sponsor, “Sevilla”. I was surprised since I didn´t expect it. The outfit colors are simply horrendous in my book, still I will do everything in my power to honor them
Cheers. |

Hi everyone.
As many of you, I've encountered that weird bug where you unsubscribe your rider from the vuelta but his fitness and fatigue are still going up as if he was riding it.
To avoid that, has anyone tried to start the vuelta and then give up during the first or second stage ? Can you then subscribe to other races ? How does it affect your fatigue and fitness program ? |
