You are just so fucking hilarious LOL what a derp you are

Thomas and Sutty are both welsh. sutty also a huge nationalist, think that explains everything that needs to be said.

unrelated, Barquil is kinda lucky that Thomas was there to save him, Barquil had no chance to make that corner. not even close.

You are oh so right Welsh and PROUD, although i wish i could have reacted in a better manner though, sorry if i upset anyone especially my French friends on here Embarassed

He didn't even look back or whatever, just crashed Thomas in the ground and stepped on his pedals.

That equals zero respect for me.
They say Thomas is back on this bike, but that makes no difference. This could've ended very badly, and then Barguil would've send a flower to the hospital and be happy he finished top 10.

It has nothing to do with respect its just a rush of blood, and if you think riders didn't do stupid things in the past then you mistaken my friend

amazing how thomas managed to stay on his bike after beeing hit by the idiot.

incredibly stupid valverde babysitting froome on the descent.

Nibali threatens Valverde and Quintana more than he does Froome. Why would Froome worry about losing 30-ish seconds to Nibali?

nibali is not a threat to froome, but i don't think movistar is riding to defend valverde's position in the GC. if you want to try to win the tour, let froome do his job on the descent, either attack him or stay on his wheel. not babysit him.

Sometimes losing 15 seconds is better than crashing and being out of the race.

Why should Valverde attack while there is Quinto in the group.

Exactly, this is what we have come to with radios and DS who are fucking idiots.

It would probably help the Sport if the DS had at least some fucking idea about cycling.

Barguil doing this is the perfect example. No regard for anyone except for himself.
Selfish or stupid. Both, probably.

Yeah but he's a kid who knows he is moving into the top 10 and let the adrenaline rush, all he did was overcook the corner which isn't a respect thing but a mistake

Still, it's something you never would have seen 30 years ago.

they also were all on drugs and racing harder 30 years ago. Never would have seen a group like this full of riders who care about the stage result.

You know in 10 seconds if the guy is hurt or not, somehow Thomas wasnt hurt and thus why Barguil didnt wait. I can guarantee if Thomas was fucked up he would have stopped. You saw the video of him right after it happened.

No way Barguil knew what had happened fully.
Also, your point about the drugs is rubbish. What does that have to do with anything?
The point is that there is less and less respect between riders and that guys like Bargiul can now play bowling with others without any consequences and you have dozens of kamikaze riders out there. Why should they care about other people's safety if they can move up a place, right.

Wow Sutty I thought you were better than that

He call Valverde a prick every other stage so should you?

^^

Pretty much. Tis is sutty. Calling him a prick, well fine (I call Thomas a dope prick as well as a result, so I guess Im not better), but always commenting on his wheelsucking or whatever (when he pretty much has been the most aggressive rider so far in the mountains) is just hilarious

It has everything to do with respect. It's a professional rider from Etixx who said so himself, that there is less and less respect between each other in the peloton.

Are you watching the stage? He pulled over, stopped riding for a second. He knew what the state of Thomas was.

This whole it was better 30 years ago bullshit just isnt true.

Riders show more respect these days and I can give you example after example.

We are in situations now that would have never happened 30 years ago because of the things I mentioned and thus why you have some fantasy view of how cycling was in the past.

Barguil sucks at descending and needs to fix it for sure but he didnt just ride on after what happened. Stop making shit up.

I don't doubt the Etixx guy is correct but I don't think that it was a lack of respect that caused Barguil to go to hard into that corner and cause the crash

Very true, kinda been throwing the idea around of the tour having a few stages that dont change. Be curious what others think.

Around 4/5 out of the 20 that have shown they are exciting for both the fans and riders. Also it would increase the value of the stage because everyone would know you won Gap in 2015 and such.

I'm sure you know better about the respect among riders than an actual professional rider himself. No doubt, no doubt.

And yes, qua respect for each others safety etc, it was way better 30 years ago. What shit am I making up, though, please enlighten me. Looking at the image, he doesn't turn his head even slightly. Yes, he stops for a second, because he would've crashed, too, otherwise.

You call the climb a legend, others call it repetive and unimaginative for the ASO to use it so often lately. Grin

Glad there was no Beloki-type of injury involved with G and he has made it to the finish.
Mhm, I've come to know Barguil as a pretty nice guy all over. That said, havn't seen the stage nor the crash, but I can't imagine that this guy doesn't have respect for other riders. Maybe he just lost control there for a sec or two. Shit like this happens unfortunately.

Yup. Sutty knows this was just rehearshal for what they are going to pull on Froome in the next stages.

But they won't beat Froomey and his alleged motorised bike

You are using one incident to go on a rant about how cycling was rode by better men 30 years ago. Are you that biased?

So you are a former pro cyclist? Good for you, does that have anything to do with the topic besides showing your bias? Because you are clearly not a pro cyclist now.

I agree that they shouldn't overuse the climb, I am just saying that it always delivers Smile

Well Barguil has apologised to Thomas after the finish and he certainly made a mistake but it wasn't a lack of respect but more a mistake a young rider makes who isn't a great descender. He just went into the corner hot and locked up his breaks and tried correct but hit Thomas instead.
