Stage hunting and points jersey search continues here. With a slightly less dominant Cunego, Ponzi might have the edge this year. Depends how the first week's sprints go - if the GC riders get involved too much that'll be it really.
Fingers crossed for another successful Giro!

Wohooo, the GTs are here.
Not so much woohoo looking at my squad, though. Dekker and Sicard are elsewhere, so it's all up to Kennaugh to try and do something + various stage hunters.
GC-battle is, as others have mentioned, a little disappointing in terms of quality, but should be a fun race either way. |

The kick-off of the GT's is upon us, hurrah! Great preview and looking forward to Roturn's reports. Like Crommy above, I am a little surprised with the (part-ways) absence of stage race talent - many teams without a GC leader or the best depth suggests the TdeF is going to be even more packed than usual! This might also have a wee bit of an impact on how this is raced given that about half the teams seem to be focussed on breakaways (in mtns) and sprints on the flat.
Think this could work well for our PCT representatives - ONCE look one of the strongest in terms of depth in this line-up, and can see them putting up a strong fight in the team standings as well as fighting on GC. CoC with a strong breakaway potential look like will be concentrating on capturing a stage.
Overall think Schleck deserves the favourite tag, and looks to have the best support team of the top favourites with him. Madrazo should be a close 2nd, then I am calling Denfil as best of the rest, but expect a decent sized gap to the top 2. Would be great nostalgia to see Cunego dishing it out, and expect him to at least take a stage, but fall short on GC. Pokerstars Faiers my call for a surprise GC top 10.
Final word, surprised that Smowz relates that Guerao will be at all 3 GT's - should be able to fight successfully for early stage wins, but doubt he is going to be able to haul his fat arse over all the mountains in week 2 or 3 of these races to compete for green . His downhill prowess going to be tested big time but I expect MTF's to be his downfall; good luck all the same!

Thanks for fantastic preview of first GT this season! It could be epic battle between Madrazo and Schleck, with Velits or Denifl as riders who can' t be underestimated.
Regarding to my team, first I'm looking forward to see, if we' ll already ride in brand new jersey (and Jaser in correct NJ). Withput any GT rider,I have no ambitions in GC and just rely on Ginanni or Faiers. Hopefully they will be active and try to steal some stages. I' m quite surprised not to see either Degenkolb or Mohs as my main sprinter. It may be interesting (or frustrating) to follow, how Stauff will handle with his leading role in flat stages.

I've asked my jersey maker to create Syrian National jersey when I signed Syrian NC during transfer period. He found out he lost initial file and offered me to make completely new Pokerstars jersey plus Syrian one, creating on base of this new shirt. When I've asked Oleg, he wrote, it could be add into DB from April races.

Well this is the first I've heard about it.
I see now that you posted about it in the Graphics thread about a month ago, but I was on holiday then and missed that post (a PM about a late jersey would have been more effective). Even so, that post was too late for the jersey to feature in the Giro.

Yeah. Didn`t know about this neither. And Giro definitely has your old one as I already started the race more than a month ago. |

Nevermind, then I have to revise my decision and keep brand Pokerstars in season 2016 as well

Metinvest, cool
18th is better than I expected, but it's nothing too special either. Krasnoperov and Ratiy in the same time is quite amusing, will be fun to see who's better

Position-wise 3rd is great, couldn't have been any better.
To only gain 1 second on Quickstep is a tad disappointing. TTT gaps were never going to decide the race, but the gap should have been wider - they clearly had a strong day.

As I hoped, we didn't loose any time to talk about and Denifl is well placed

Great start to the race, our first ever decent TTT, but still it won't matter in the end, Andy is going be well above Madrazo, won't be a contest. Madrazo will hopefully finish 2nd, that's really his maximum in the race.
Hopefully Kump gets some points on the hilly sprints, it was last minute swap putting him in the team, he's been pretty poor so far this year but hopefully he can show himself once or twice.

Aaargh! This was my big hope for my Stage-win Goal here
To miss out on a TTT by 2 seconds.. ouch. Kinda saw this coming. At least we made the podium as the best rated squad here
Gratz to Avin. Here's still some (minor) hoping, that we will win the Copenhagen TTT later this season. And now... guess I need some Matthew Goss to achieve my goal...

Retarded AI as ever. I can accept that we are 15th and loses time, but seriously. Leaving Ricco behind?
This is the best season ever in terms of pace and organization, but BY FAR the worst ever PCM version.
