 Tour Down Under Stage 1-2 Preview
Stage 1
The stage 1 of Tour Down Under is a flat stage without any obstacles before the finish line. The route contains 1 4th categorized climb and 2 sprint gates before the finish line. The sprinters will try to avoid falls/breaks in the peloton to perform their best in the last kilometer.
Stage 1 predictions won't be available because I have already made an Overall Points Jersey prediction.
Stage 2
Stage 2 contains a semi-flat route with lots of small climbs through the route to Stirling, where we will have an up-hill sprint finish. The last kilometers are between %3-4 and that means you need a nice hill ability to be the first in the finish line.
Competitors will recieve their PM in 30 minutes
Deadline is 1PM UK time.

Tour Down Under Stage 1
Hello and Welcome to the first stage of Santos Tour Down Under under a bright sun! Today its a day for the sprinters and there is no obstacle or a high climb before the finish! It’s very high temperatures here in Australia, riders will have to drink plenty of water.
In the first kilometers,  Team Giant-Alpecin didn’t gave any chance to escape before reaching the 1st Intermedia Sprint Gate for their leader, Marcel Kittel.
In the 1st Intermedia Sprint Gate, Marcel Kittel cross the line 1st, and he gets 5 points on the Points Classification. He is followed by his team-mate and Ettix-Quickstep rider, Mark Renshaw who got 2 points from the gate.
After the Intermedia Gate, Team Giant-Alpecin and Trek Factory Racing stopped working and 5 men attacked in front of the peloton, with 70 kilometers left. The riders were ;
 L. De Vreese from Team Astana
G. Dockx from Lotto-Soudal
 V. Isachiev from Team Katusha
L. Durbridge from Orica-Greenedge
 P. Lastras from Team Movistar
After a few kilometers, high paced breakaway and the 4th categorized climb made P. Lastras found himself alone, 50” behind the breakaway. Then, he got caught from the peloton which is high paced with Team Giant Alpecin and Trek Factory Racing in the last 40 kilometers.
In the last 15 kilometers, the gap was under 30 seconds between the peloton and the 4-man breakaway. The peloton was lead by Team Giant Alpecin and Trek Factory Racing and working for their sprinters, Marcel Kittel and  Giacomo Nizzolo who hopes to win this stage here in Australia.
LAST KILOMETERS!
Henrich Haussler, the Aussie Champion from IAM Cycling was leading out by his team-mate, Roger Kluge and Team Giant Alpecin can be seen on the right side of the camera!
Henrich Haussler started the sprint first, but he got followed by Marcel Kittel! This is going to be interesting!
But Marcel Kittel showed his sprint abilities by leaving Henrich Haussler behind from him and get the first win in the first stage in the World Tour! I can see Wouter Wippert from Drapac Pro Cycling in the 3rd as well!
Stage favourite Giacomo Nizzolo was 4th which is a dissapointing result for him.

Tour Down Under Stage 2
Hello and welcome to the second stage of the Santos Tour Down Under Stage 2 where we start the race in the streets of Unley. Route will take us to Stirling from the center of the country.

For todays race, 9 competititors picked a winner for todays stage, with 5 competitors picked Kittel, while 2 pick Nizzolo, and 2 pick none of the listed riders by choosing Other Rider.
We start the race with some bad news. There is a mass crash in the middle of the bunch and it takes 16 riders. Sadly, Gianni Meersman of Ettix Quickstep has broken his collarbone and forced to abandon, which is a shocking dissappointment in the team. The crash has also taken down  Darly Impey of Orica-Greenedge and  Luke Rowe of Team Sky. After a 20-30 kilometers, the riders have made it to the bunch without any problem.

After the crash, peloton slowed down. And the riders who want to break, take their chance. There were 3 riders in the break, including a favourite  J. Hansen and M. Belkov.
In the last 20 kilometers Movistar and Trek Factory Racing’s fast pace made the breakaway caught.
5km’s! The peloton is in a very fast pace in Katusha and Movistar in front. We can see Kittel and Nizzolo right behind them!
And the sprint is starting! We can see Lobato in Movistar, Nizzolo, Cimolai, Kittel, Wippert and Boom! They are all behind of each-other!
As the steep rises we will see the winner! Lobato is in the first now, Nizzolo and Cimolai following him while Kittel is trying to chase Cimolai’s wheels!
We can see Lobato on the left side looking not good and out of energy, but in the right side Nizzolo and Cimolai continues his speed whilke Kittel and L.L. Sanchez trying to chase them in the last meters!
But nobody can follow the up-hill sprint master, Giacomo Nizzolo from Trek Factory Racing!
Cimolai comes in second, followed by L.L. Sanchez who is 3rd. And behind them we can see D. Pozzovivo in the 4th. Kittel couldn’t resist the steep and only took the 11th place.
After breaking away, Rohan Dennis of BMC isn’t able to catch the fast pace up-front with losing 2 minutes, making the race over for him.

TOUR DOWN UNDER STAGE 3-4 PREVIEW
Stage 3
The 3rd day of Tour Down Under kicks off from Norwood. The route is pretty flat for 136 kilometers, but when the riders reach the last 3 kilometers, they will face with the Torrens Hill Road, which have 6.4% average slope with maxes nearly 14%. General Classification contenders like R.Porte, T.Pinot and D.Pozzovivo will try to earn some gaps between each-other, but this is not the only chance to make gaps as in the 5th stage, riders will climb the Tour Down Under legend, Old Willunga Hill twice.
Stage 4
After 2 hilly finish, stage 4 will be the sprinters dream stage, while there are no obstacle on the route for a sprinter, we will see the clash against true sprinters!

Tour Down Under Stage 3
Hello and Welcome to the third stage of Santos Tour Down Under under a bright sun! Today its a day for the punchers as the last 2,5 km contains a hard hill, Torrens Road.
We start the stage calm with 3 riders in the breakaway and peloton never made the gap above 3 minutes.
The breakaway contends of;
-George Bennett
-Davide Malacarne
-Lars Yitting Bak
In the last 30 kilometers, the peloton caught the breakaway and began to set a fast pace. Katusha was in front for their leader G.Caruso with FDJ who were working for T.Pinot.
And the last 5 kilometers! We can see T.Pinot in the front behind his teammate. If you look at the middle side you can see AG2R train for Pozzovivo and on the right side Team Sky’s R.Porte is waiting to attack!
And the final sprint is on! T.Pinot at the left, D.Pozzovivo in the middle and R.Porte right behind the Pozzovivo!
Last meters! T.Pinot looks strong but there is only 1,5 wheel difference between him and Porte!
T.Pinot continues his fast speed and wins the stage! Porte comes in second while D.Pozzovivo is 3rd!
T.D.Gendt followed in 4th while S.Geschke became 5th.

The 5th stage is the classic stage of Tour Down Under. This is the decider for the GC contenders! Riders will pass the classic Old Willunga Hill two times!
Stage 6
Stage 6 will be the sprinters dream stage, while there are no obstacle on the route for a sprinter, we will see the clash against true sprinters in the city center of Adelaide!
Stage 5 bets will be available this Evening.
