Qusetion about time trial
Kira900
I am not so good on Individual and team time trial. I as wondering than if someone can recommend me some good advises to do a nice time trail? I am now managing Movistars, This is regarding PCM2015

I like to start slowly and built up my speed toward the finish. (Not with extreme differences though, say a difference of ~5 efforts from start to finish unless you got something left in the tank during the last kms)

Also what helps is speeding up a bit at climbs and saving energy in the downhill.

From the start do you have the riders on 50, 60,70 or 80 effort?

It depends on the profile of the stage. Normally I experiment with the first couple of riders to get the best result for the important riders of my team.

Regarding the start, it depends on the profile and length. The longer the TT the less effort from the start. Also it depends on the riders TT stat, and if hilly/mountain the MO/HIL stats play a big role as well.

Depends on length and profile obviously. Would recommend trying to find the perfect effort with your helpers.

Thank you so much. When it comes to team time trial i was thinking of the tour de france stage.

3km -> 84
5km -> 77-80
10km -> 73-75
15km -> 69-72
25km -> 63-66
35km -> 60-63

That is roughly what I start with with helpers. The perfect effort depends on many variables like profile, tt/rec stats (the higher, the more effort they can have), wind (!) and so on. Also: put in more effort on the uphill and less on the downhill from your "perfect" average for riders that you want to finish best.

And, as Jesleyh said, it is always better to finish with a tiny bit of power left than with running out of yellow bar 1km before the finish.
