A little thing I appreciated - after my first, very quiet, season (at Raleigh, best finish 12th) the only teams who were interested in me were other Conti teams. It would have felt cheap to have bigger teams after me at this point, so well done there.
I signed for Team Idea and the difference in support quality from my new team-mates was immediately apparent, so another tick for that. |

This weird thing just happened, where to team mates (Weening and Spilak) fights to be the one protecting my pro cyclist. Every second it switches |

I just won the Giro d'Italia with just 1 second to a Japanese guy! Amazing. Stage 20 was to Monte Zoncolan, and I won the stage with 1'01 which was just enough!
I now have 3 Giro d'Italia victories, 8 Vuelta a Espana and 11 Tour de France. |

But now I lost the Tour with 2 seconds ... |

Just ran my first GT in 4th season. Giro is a hard race to do well in with only 76 MO and 77 HI haha. Was a good race though; 4th in young riders thanks to an opportune break away late-race. I understand what you guys are saying with these young riders now... One Colombian rider here is 85 MO, 84 HI, 82 TT and 78 PR... He's also 23...
I think I'm going to start again, anyway. This was my first run through and my training and race schedule sucked early on because I had no idea what I was doing. I know a few ways to optimize it now, and to gain some early experience to get a couple of levels quicker. At the rate I was going, I wouldn't have been competitive in GTs until at least 6th season, which compared to all the other riders that have sprouted up in that time would be far too late haha. I did manage to drag Budget Forklifts to World Tour level though, so that's a plus. A neat signing of Micheal Matthews certainly helped!
When you can't decide between two options, flip a coin. Not because the result of the coin will choose for you, but because, in that split second before the coin lands, you'll know what side you want it to fall on.

Does anyone know the effects of the choice made for our rider's potential when we create a new be a pro rider? Does it affect the speed of ability increase or the maximum potential of the rider's abilities, or both? |

While I haven't actually tested, I would guess it at least decideds your stat limit. It might also influence growth rate, but as I said, I have not tested it.

potential 8 (grand champion): you are the best in what you do, and have the potential to be one of the best in other fields as well. For instance, a sprinter that can be good on cobbles or hills as well. A climber that is good on hills as well. A GC-specialist who is decent on cobbles as well. An attacker is always complete, a TT-er with cobble abilities or climb.
Potential 7: you can become the best or one of the best in your specialisation, and become decent in another field, but not world class in something else than your specialisation. Your growth will be slightly slower.
Potential 6: You can become one of the best in your specialisation. You won't become very good in something else. Your growth will be significantly slower |

You can argue for a yes, but I will continue and see if I ever get the option to retire og decrease in stats. Nothing suggest it now as I'm nearly 39. |

Already won 6 GT's now.. (2 giro, 2 tour, 2 vuelta). I hope what Maddox says doesn't happen.. would be kinda silly to continue until 40 |

@ Maddox, Ruben:
the db has no age defined for declining. So probably you could continue forever
Ruben, your screenshot shows 9k€/month for the last years... I was thinking that you have terrible negotiation skills until I saw the 89k€ at the top... |

you have to ignore the salaries in the screen, it shows only partial numbers, like the last 4, because of the resolution, if you hover over it with the mouse it shows actual salary |

I find it impossible to improve the fighter/baroudeur skill, which has not improved yet (I'm in level 21) and as far as i can tell that is the only skill not improved. Can some tell me what to train to improve the skill, or if it is even possible to improve? |

Start out by training either stage race (improves bot MO and TT) or by training as a climber. Then move on to puncher or baroudeur or TT. Just make sure to have high MO, HIL, TT, STA, RES, REC skill. Also FL and ACC is great.
You earn XP by winning races and being in breakaways. |
