Not the best result here

Well Thor made a great effort for the win after some nice work from Lars to get him into that position

Jakstar:... especially when your out of shape
Ian: He was and that was as much as I could expect after he missed Tirreno due to an illness.
PCM rulezz: Almost there though. Hopefully he'll be ready for the cobbles.
sutty: He did

Dwaars door Vlaanderen
The opening of the cobble-season. Hushovd is still lacking a bit of race fitness, but without RadioShack in the peloton he should still have good chances today.
Everyone just keeps attacking early on. As a result no one is able to make a decent gap.
In the end Jens Erik is the main force when a break finally establishes. With 90 km to go they have 4’30’’ on the peloton.
With 50 km to go Madsen, Borry, Kaupas, Hondo, Rosseler and Rollin have a gap of 4’35’’
30 km and 2’32’’. Vacansoleil taking responsibility in the “pack” of 45 riders.
20 km left. Madsen is starting to look tired and 15 rides (including Bak, Hushovd and Jebjerg) is coming fast 1’30’’ behind.
Bak try attacking early, but his attack only acts as stepping stone for a bunch of other riders. 1,5 km to go and Chavanel is in front 27 seconds ahead of Hushovd.
Thor fights the best he has learned but in the end Hondo takes a deserved win after being in the break all day.
I know this is not what most of you expected, but you must remember that this race was mainly for building form.
Lars is looking ready and Thor is showing great improvements, so I am optimistic about E3 Prijs Vlaanderen - Harelbeke and Gent - Wevelgem in the coming week.

Bak tried and Hushovd finished top 10, so a fairly good race all things considered

Ian: Yeah, we probably couldn't have expected much more, but hopefully we'll have more luck in the coming big races.
sutty: He is very consistent. A very valuable asset to the team.
Jakstar: Lets hope so

Volta Ciclista a Catalunya
This years route didn’t have a lot of stages, where it was possible to make a difference. That resulted in a very close GC.
Chris did his best and tried attacking on almost every stage, but wasn’t able to gain any of the one and a half minute he was behind in the GC. Similarly Jesper couldn’t find the terrain that would have allowed him to gain a minute in the youth classification.
One thing that did go as we planned though was our trademark. This time it was Nicki Sørensens turn to win a mountain jersey…

Gent – Wevelgem
Last year Thor won. We will be hoping to repeat that…
We tried to get either Bak or Lindau in the early break but everything we took part in was quickly reeled back in. In the end eight riders managed to get away. None of them with the slightest cobble-skills…
As soon as we approached the first cobbled section Devenyns went on the attack from the peloton – and Lars was right in his wheel.
80 km to go and the break has 4 minutes with the gap growing. The peloton is now down to 64 riders. No Falcons lost behind!
As expected Bak and Devenyns leave the others behind on the cobbled section with 54 km to go after having made good use of them on the long flat section. The duo has 4’32’’ to the peloton.
Lars and Dries are working nicely together and with 37 km to go they have almost five minutes to the favourites group. Looks like they might actually make it?
15 km to go and it looks like things will come down to a sprint between Bak and Devenyns as they still have 4’26’’ to the favourites where both Hushovd and McDermott is sitting comfortably while the others do all the hard work.
The Belgian has the most energy left in the end, but Lars does extremely well to get a 2nd place.
Behind Thor is caught in the tactical game trying to avoid pushing the speed too much and thus challenging Bak’s chances. As a result he loses contact with a lot of the other favourites, who a are attacking aggressively. McDermott does his best to get him back in there though.
