Himmerland Rundt
I wasn’t here myself, so I won’t go into details with the race but just tell you that in spite of several attacks it ended up in a bunch sprint where Jebjerg placed 3rd in spite of poor form at the moment.
We have changed our approach to these small domestic races this season. As the big team of the North we want to give our home fans some good racing all along the route rather than just dominating the race to pick up an easy win.
Likewise we won't be bringing our top-names to let some of the smaller names show what they've got.

Ian: Thanks, since I won't benefit from the points I figured it would be more fun to shake things up

Rumour has is that the UCI is working on a revision of the race calendar.
Some of the less prestigious WT-races might get relegated to continental races and replaced by Continental races.
After a lot of effort we finally managed to get through to the office of UCI-president Pat McQuaid, who gave us this quote:
I cannot comment on rumours but we always try to optimize the calendar and make cycling more popular all over the world.
So pretty much no info there, but we'll take it as a confirmation that the big guys are up to something...
We also got hold of the two managers of Nordic World Tour teams:
Bjarne Riis, Saxo - Tinkoff:
Well we only really care about the Tour de France so UCI can change whatever they want - I seriously doubt that they'll demote the Tour...
Volvo - STARK:
It sounds interesting. We will race where ever we're asked to.
With the timing of the rumours I have to say that I really hope one or more of the hilly classics will be removed. perhaps to be replaced with a small stage race or something? Anyway I'll just be happy if we can get rid of perhaps Ouest France or one of the Canadian Classics...
Only time will tell how things turn out, but we'll keep you posted as things evolve.
What races do you think will/should be removed from the World Tour and which races are worthy of a promotion?

Brilliant
I would like to see Beijing removed, actually! The early part of UCI calendar is good, I think. From after the Tour, it's less good: Hamburg, Plouay, Canadian classics...

I'll certainly do my best to make sure he does and with this years route I don't think its completely impossible.

Tour de Romandie
Stage 3: Fribourg – Fribourg
Though categorized as a hilly stage this stage shouldn’t have too much effect on the GC.
For the second day in a row Lasse gets in the break.
Since Lasse is the best placed rider in the break it relieves us from a lot of work in the peloton. Still with 100 km to go the break only has just under three minutes gap, so they probably won’t make it all the way.
Just as the peloton hit the first KOM they catch the break, but Lasse stays in front to pick up the mountain points.
Nothing at all happens before the second climb, so Lasse takes another hard pull over the top to take the lead in the mountain competition.
Everything stays surprisingly quiet and no one lifts a brow when Jakob goes to the front to pick up 6 bonus seconds and 6 points for the points classification.
With 20 km to go four riders try to get away, but my guys did well to keep them within a minute.
Freire takes the stage, but not much time.
Fuglsang loses the yellow jersey today, but shouldn’t have trouble winning back the lost time to Vichot, Moser and Freire in the coming TT and mountain stages.

Two jerseys isn't bad, but we will be looking to snatch the GC lead as well on the last two stages.
It's two mountain stages with a downhill or flat finish. Hopefully they will be too hard for Tony Martin but not hard enough for Contador...

Seems like this is going to be a Fuglsang-Martin battle.
Interesting to see which race will be part of WT next year, I'm hoping for Amgen tour of California
