1000 reply! Just a sign of how good this story is
Not a bad result in Ronde, trying to deal with a team of Boonen and Cancellara was always going to be impossible...

A nice second place for Lars
It was a pity that Vanthourenhout had such a good day though

sutty: In deed. Still the win probably meant more to Vanthourenhout and Landbouwkredit than it would have to Lars/us...
Ian: Thanks, and by your comment we crossed the 20000-views mark

Paris - Roubaix
The final big cobbled classics. Will Thor be able to repeat his grand victory from last year?
A lot of riders try to get away early on, but Vacansoleil, RadioShack and Lotto Belisol do their best to make it a hard race. Apparently the pouring rain isn’t enough for them…
150 km to go and still one large peloton as we begin on the cobbles.
With 110 km to go the sun has come out just as the racing starts to get serious. A strong effort by the team brings the peloton down to 50 riders.
With 60 km to go my pure domestiques are starting to get worn out. Luckily BMC responds and sends Terpstra to the front to continue our work. 40 riders left in the peloton now.
30 km to go. Pozzato attack after a 30 km pull from Terpstra.
Boonen, Puccio and Hushovd goes after him.
At first Boonen gets away alone and later Ballan and Cancellara managed to pull away from the favourites group, where Hushovd is now all alone.
Thor is not having the best day of his career and has trouble keeping up with all the attacks. With 9 km to go Boonen has 52 seconds to Cancellara, a further 13 seconds to Ballan, 1’40’’ to Breschel and Flecha while Hushovd is in a group a further 20 seconds behind.
Boonen takes a grand solo win making him the only rider to have won this race 5 times.
Thor is 7th after an extremely close sprint in his group.
Also notice that Erik finished 26th after having helped in the chase when it became obvious that Thor couldn’t keep up with the attacks. I would be surprised if his career ends without a victory here on the velodrome.

Well Thor did his best. And don't say he wont get a win on the Velodrome. Thats a put down.

sutty: He will always deliver just that!
Jakstar: He did. and I actually said I would be surprised if his career ends without a win on the velodrome
Ian Butler: Yeah, Boonen & Cancellara are a terrifying duo on the cobbles Hoping RadioShack fail to extend with Spartacus...

Rheinland-Pfalz Rundfahrt
This brand new race was used for warm-up to the Ardennes classics. Therefore we probably came with a pretty overpowered team. Since the race itself didn’t mean that much to us we decided to make it a fun race for the fans by trying to win it the grand way in stead of just playing it safe.
I don’t think we had one single rider that wasn’t in a break sometime during the five stages.
Sterebo even had a couple of days in yellow after he won stage 3 and it seemed we had everything under control until the last 5 km of the race. Fuglsang was in front looking to win the last stage and the GC.
But then he crashed…
Still everyone should be racing fit for the Ardennes.

Bad luck with the crash but a stage win is still good

La Fleche Wallonne
Another one. Not quite as hard as Amstel, so hopefully we’ll do better today.
The early part of the race goes exactly like in Amstel. Lots of attacks, but no proper break due to a lot of dedicated teams chasing everything down.
With 100 km to go five riders have build a lead of 4 minutes. Noval, Vanthourenhout and Cammaerts will not be raising many brows, but Caruso and Kiriyenka could turn out to be dangerous if given to long a leash.
50 km left. The break still has four minutes, though they have started to lose time. And a bit of good news: Jakob says his legs are feeling decent today!
With 10 km to go the break is caught and the favourites start moving. And with them Fuglsang.
4 km left. Albasini has a gap of 18 seconds to Fuglsang and 14 other riders and an additional 42 seconds to a 25-rider group containing Chris.
Jakob is placed in the back of the group when the sprint starts, but he’s looking ok.
Kreuziger takes the win, while both Chris and Jakob finish in the first group but outside the top-10.
