Congrats Croatia, your GT setups are on fire this year!
Nice to see Vosekalns trying to join the break but we shouldnt have given up once that first attempt was brought back. Just giving up - on a stage where a break is the best chance to deliver when we have multiple solid options including 2 or 3 guys that might be in reach of the KoM jersey if we would keep attacking - is the wrong decision.
Interesting late attack by Tvetcov. Think its a bit of a waste of energy when the break was not within catching reach when the next stages will be tough for him but interesting that he can avoid time losses again.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Solid stage GC wise. No damage done is good enough at this point of the race.
Would like to see my guys back in those breaks though. We should have some possible assets suited to mountain breakaways. So do it.

It would really be nice if either Valls or Velits do something. Their performance is even much worse as in the Giro. While similar riders attack and attack and climb in the GC .

Yes! What a ride by the team, played it all very smartly and Domen delivers big time (I initially was sure we'd have to ride for Kozhatayev). Now we're looking very good, I love the team effort to play our mountain cards all very well here!
Also thanks for the awesome report!

Formolo had one bad stage where he lost lots of time. But apart from that one he's doing great.

Surprising to see the team work, maybe a sign Galta was having a good daily form early on the stage, but then it probably got worse seeing how passive he was when Tvetcov, Hirt and other riders in the top 10 tried to attack.
Congratulations on the win, Croatia!

Arndt is too good to join any more breaks, but not good enough to get results from the peloton.
Meanwhile, Egger and Helme do what they're here for, but they're not good enough to get results from the break.
It's cursed.
I guess keeping Stüssi and Vasyliv as Herklotz domestiques throughout the season really backfires now as 77mo riders seem to benefit the most from this GT AI.
Congrats SotD? I guess?

Congrats, SotD. Strong showing by PL.
Haig suffered, which ain't good to see. Still enough to defend this 5th place though. Need to send better riders than Lane into those breaks. I really don't like the lack of stage results by Haig, since the Giro score was simply terrible despite a podium GC. He did well in the TT tough, so maybe the next TT will be fine. Still another key stage ahead. Of course.

Velits just doesn't has it anymore... Shame Valls only rides passive and doesn't attack himself as he clearly should be stronger.
From the support riders Koep with another surprisingly strong performance. Good two best ever since riding for my team I guess. Probably he is covering Valls, who doesn't exhaust Koep too much by riding that passive and very steadily.
Lecuisinier with a big stage here. Well done SotD.
Thanks for the report. Nice read.

I wanna congratulate SotD but im not sure whether he would see it the same way
My team is a riddle here. Vosekalns dropped very early yet again while Tvetcov is some sick mutant on a mission. Quite entertaining to watch him but we are all waiting for the crash thats about to happen every day now...

Oooh Kruijswijk looked really strong but sadly he ran out of gas.
Another solid performance by Formolo He actually entered top 10 GC because of it.

This is now Lecuisinier's race to loose. Congratulations on the red jersey, SotD!
I really don't like at all how passive we're this race, and I can't understand it neither It's a pity, as the breakaway successes are many.

Honestly, what is my team even doing. Lets not send any riders into the 25 man break, chase all day with our top sprinter, and then put in work for Shikai so that he can lose 5 mins again, instead of protecting him, with a team that has like 5 75+ MO riders. For how much depth my team has, we have 1 rider in the Top 50. Other teams with similar depth have 4 or 5 guys in the Top 50, or they're joining breaks and getting good stage results.
This is the worst race of the season for us. No one is doing anything, its such a joke that other teams with vastly inferior riders are doing so much better sometimes.
Theres only 2 mountain stages left, not enough time for Shikai to even do anything from a break. I think I'm going to end the race with 85 points, with 70 coming in the first 2 stages.

I guess I am not in a position to complain given that Lecuisinier got around half the time he needed to have a shot at winning the race, but boy was that an expensive rookie-mistake.
Losing the stagewin cost 30 points and 8 bonus seconds (I think) + it costed the lead in the points competition (now shared) and costed some KOM points.
So in the end it could end up costing both GC, pts and KOM aswell a stagewin.
I guess having red will see him be passive tomorrow, but one could hope he delivered once more to have an actual shot at the GC.
