ok thanks for the reply, I just wanted to know why it was all like that, just one more thing I wanted to clear up, the variant of the tour that starts in Gent, the first stage is actually called 'Gent-Gent (ITT) for WW108' and the next stage after that is called Gent-Genk. Which I think is a spelling issue, aside from that, Thanks for clearing that up for me.
Gent is a city (spelled Ghent in English I believe), Genk is a different city. The WW108 would be a tag, for Wouter Weylandt (born in Gent) who wore the number 108 during the Giro in 2011 in which he died from a crash on a descent in the 3rd stage. Wouter Weylandt Wiki Page

Try to use a Milano-Sanremo's variant.
You have to look in the upper-right corner where you can find "2014". Then use the arrow keys to choose a variant (2013-v2 etc.).
Or you can download another variant.
You can find it in the Stage Database

Oh, I have the moderator power in this forum as one of the people who built the DB, though I didn't mean to edit your post, thought I hit the quote button (which is right next to edit button apparently, and where the quote button normal is when in a forum I don't have moderator powers.).

Installed the db, then noticed the australian ITT champs in career was suddenly a road race.
So reinstalled PCM completely from 0 (total deletion), reinstalled the expansion pack, reinstalled the 1.2 patch. Made sure I selected the right db.
Still the same, Australian ITT champs = plouay/plouay and no ITT.
Then I noticed I have this problem with all the new stages. Somehow these don't install for me.. the jerseys and everything do.. Everything shows up, EXCEPT the stages.
Any suggestions? Checked everything, don't ask me the question wether I installed it in the correct folder (f.e steamapps/common/pro cycling manager 2014 because i have the steam version), I did all the usual checks.

Nevermind, figured it out.
Guys, you have a problem with the installer, at least, in the rare case the end-user doesn't have My Documents in the default location (c:\ etc etc).
I have my documents folder in the E:\ drive.. The installer doesn't take into account users who have their My Documents folder in a different place..
So to be more precise. The installer at the moment does 2 things:
-Install textures and stuff into the direrctory the end user choses (has to be default PCM main folder)
-Install DB and stages into my documents folder, cannot be chosen by end user (literally my documents folder on C:\ . When end-user has my documents folder on other drive then default, stages won't show up until manually moved by end-user.
Most other installers (FDB, ASO DB, FCD) don't have this problem. It choses the correct my documents folder automatically.

We'll see if we are able to fix this with next versions. I don't know if it's possible with the software we use.
Inactive due to personal reasons.

There is a problem with the sponsor region of Katusha. In DYN_sponsor_regions they ask 50% of the team to be from Canada, instead of Russia. And Tre Valli Varesine still has the wrong date, it should be 18th September instead of 20th August as it used to be.

Had a weird thing today: on the 29th June, the day before the british National Championships, i had an email saying that Ben Swift won the British National title...
There were also a number of other emails advising me of national champions winners, but in each case other than the Italian and Canadian races there are no race details on the email, or any results on the latest results page, just the winner's name. There is no record of winning the NC on Swift's palmares or on any of the other reported winners.
According to the schedule the British Championship is on the 30th, the next day. I have a couple of races to play out first, but will update after I've got past the 30th

Update: after playing out the race on 30th, Cav won. This did appear on his palmares, and on the latest results page. Looking more closely the Swift report was for the UK championship rather than the British title, and I don't think that the other races that I got the emails about on the 29th had playable races: is it something to do with the UK/GBR difference?

Did you get "emails" for other National Championships that weren't playable in the original game?
I'm sure in older versions of the game, when bigger databases added national championship races that weren't 'playable' in the cyanide version, you'd get "Bob Smith wins the US Championships'.

This is all just a workaround, the game by default does not have a British/UK national championship, so it does it the simulated way and says that person won. Since our DB includes a championship, we have put it one day later than that email. We are unable to remove the email from happening, so our best solution was simply to overwrite who the winner was by placing the NC on the next day.

Gotcha. Cheers for the explanation

If you play career, as far as I know, there's only a solution:
Go into your game folder/CM_Stages, look for topclas_sanremo_2014.zces and .cds and remove them. Then, pick another variant (2013) and rename it, you have only to change the 2 files' (zces and cds) names.

When I want to select a team in the Giro d'Italia, Katusha and Europcar are missing. This can be easily fixed with any editor. But I hope you fix this for all the other people.
What about this, am I the only one?

It is strange because I can play Milano-Sanremo. It should be another random bug (copyright 2000-2014 Cyanide Studios)

Seems like we used the startlist of PCM2013. We will fix this in the next version.
