Welcome to the first TTT of the 2009 ProTour. Hot favourites today are Accumalux, but they need to something pretty special over the 6km course in order to have a chance at the overall lead.

Credit Lyonnais took the early lead, as Bonnet (French ITT champ) marshalled his troops to a time of 6'57



France TV look set to come close to that time, and they did, but were out by 4 seconds, posting a time of 7'01



Joost Posthuma propelled La Gazetta Dello Sport forward, but they could only take equal second place, with the same time as France TV.



Then, a huge surprise from Festina, led by Thor Hushovd - they went into the lead, with a time of 6'56 - good stuff.



But next came Accumalux, resplendent in many national jerseys. Everyone knew they would win, but by how much - it turned out to be just a single second - a time of 6'55



As wildcards, Slipstream had the privilege of going last, and they set a blistering pace, clocking in 4th, 4 seconds down, with a time of 6'59
