8 riders are in front at the first intermediate sprint: De Fauw, Signego, Mohlmann, Nishitani, Matthews, Pronk, Renang and Thwaites, meaning we have two jerseys in the break, with Matthews in Best Young Rider, while Nishitani has the KoM jersey


Aru and Williams join them later, meaning Cyclevox join Saab in having 2 riders in the break


De Fauw wins the second sprint ahead of Nishitani and Thwaites, moving himself into a tie for 4th place


50km to go for the peleton and the gap is at 5 minutes, Hollister are getting some help today


Matthews attacks to get the mountain points over Nishitani, withPronk getting third


2 laps to go, 34km and the gap is 3 minutes


On the penultimate climb Lloyd and Ben Nasser attack


They get up to the break with the peleton 51" behind


Meyer, Bobridge and Rabon attack, this could be bad news for the sprinters, as Bianchi have been doing all the work so far


10km to go and Thwaites has gone solo on the decent


Just behind him is a very disorganised peleton


8km to go and we start the climb to the finish

As Thwaites is brought back Lloyd attacks bringing Rabon and Ben Nasser with him


Davis tries to follow, with Impey and Docker hanging on behind him

Lloyd falls back, but the other 5 get a gap, Gerrans tries to get across


Ben Nasser sits up with 5km to go, allowing the 5 to be caught, Visconti senses his moment, Lloyd again tries to follow


With Gerrans and Proni they pull clear


Bobridge follows, could this be the decisive move?


Everyone else is letting Davis lead the chase, but he has a team mate up the road


As the sprint starts Gerrans and Proni have a small gap


Ben Nasser and Ford help the peleton surge back at the break


Visconti is desperately trying to close the gap to the front two


The peleton still aren't sprinting, they are just giving the race away


700m and Gerrans is still going strong


Marinangeli is now flying forwards with Gasparotto in his wheel


It's too late though as Gerrans takes victory, Proni is second, while Visconti gets third


Gasparotto gets 4th ahead of Marinangeli


Ciolek may well have missed a split, also in the group 45 seconds behind are Priamo, De Maar, Sonnery and defending champ, Arashiro


There are no gaps in the top 86, so Ciolek keeps his lead, while Gerrans jumps to 4th overall thanks to his win
