Yeah, isso is right. Even more, after the spectacular and unbelievable exhibition of both Vinokourov and Kashechkin in the Vuelta 2006, the Spanish media began to talk about the "Kazakhstani race" (yes, yes, as if they were a bunch of supermen). No "oh those Asians are doped to the ears to beat the Europeans". On the contrary, they were defending them
This said, my opinion about Astana isn't different of what I have about Caisse D'Epargne.

Aurelion Clerc joins the list of riders with no contract for next season.
I know he's not exactly Cavendish and I hear he's meant to be an absolute pr*ck..but when a rider of this quality can't get a team you know it'$ bad...

danik666, Yes, Astana is one of the best teams ! And they will have to accept it !
If there would meet 2 Kazakhians(? - simply people from Kazakhstan), it doesn't mean you have to be off-topic
Oh, yes! Sorry

You have to realize that the "Europeans hate kazakhstanis and want Astana to die because it's a kazakhstani team" crap is just bullshit that your media keeps feeding you.
We really don't give a toss where the team comes from. If it was swedish we'd treat it exactly the same way (except for the swedish people here. They'd love the team a lot more)
So relax
Would you like to say that the Europeans are our team, as well as the other? If you are, thank you!

I'm not sure what you mean. What I mean is that a lot of times the newspapers and television in kazakhstan tell the people from kazakhstan that when something bad happens to a kazakhstan team it's because "europeans hate kazakhstan", but that is not true.
A team from kazakhstan is exactly like a team from any other country: we like the team or we don't like it, but that has NOTHING to do with the country the team is from

That's not a minority. Non-fat danish people are a minority.

All racial prejudice is equal, but some are more equal than others.
Anyway, to go dangerously close to going back on topic again: Does anyone have any news thats not about Clerc?

Yeah, I agree with Waghlon, my guess is that he'll get a permanent contract mid-February

We'll see. Either way, it's way below his ambitions, but I guess you have to settle for what you can get
