Well, the articel on Cycling News said it was announced by a Italian Newspaper, one i never heard about Probably just a rumour.

Ow sorry, in that case it's my bad. But the article about MR joining the team has already been removed from Cyclingnews, so makes me think even more it's just a rumour.

Anyway, on the subject of Michael Rasmussen, there's an interview with him in a Danish newspaper today. Based on the details about his season plans, the journalist, probably the most knowing (in Denmark) when it comes to cycling, guesses that the team, he's negotiating with, is Footon-Servetto.
Dankan will have trouble explaining that

Someone said "Rasmussen?", to which the magazine replied: "No, but almost as surprising."

And according to feltet.dk he or the team thinks Footon-Servetto will ride the tour de france
