Worry more for Vandevelde, its been said/suggested/hinted at many times but dont expect Wiggins to hang around if Contador goes to Garmin, not when a certain British team would love to make Wiggo their TDF leader.

This changes everything. I was completely sure he'd end up at Garmin as long as it was a money issue. But if he can leave without any team having to pay for him, a chauvinistic guy like him will choose Caisse in a tenth of a second.
Given the fantastic team Caisse can support him with in the mountains, this is a very bad thing. I was hoping he wouldn't be allowed to leave, but this is just worst case scenario.

Great point and good news. I want Wiggins to stay at Garmin and I hope Contador rides with Caisse. IT would be awesome if he could join Quickstep. I don't think he would have as good MO support as compared to Caisse

Do you think Caisse could be hesitant to sign Contador until the Valverde verdict is known? I assume Valverde would still think himself capable of winning the TDF, should he be allowed to ride, hence may not ideally want Contador as teammate?

Valverde would be extremely glad to have Contador on the team.

Results is what brings the money in, so Vaughters wanting Contador is a good idea....but what turmoil he brings to the team would not be good I feel.
I would like to see Contador at Quickstep. First GC guy.....really

Unlike before, Contador is saying that he might stay at Astana even if he's allowed to leave: "Even though they are still yet to obtain a license, they've been serious. There are still good riders at Astana, and with a few extra signings (= reinforcements), I feel safe for the Tour".

I hope Contador does stay... and then because of Vino Astana are refused entry. I'd love that. It would make my year!
And again, appologies over drunken postings. Sigh. I'll learn not to have my computer on when I'm drunk sooner or later.

Agreed, they're hilarious. Also, they are, frighteningly, among the most coherent posts on the site.
