Ste117: Very old news.
Isso: Apparently, they decided to sign pretty much any rider mentioned in the OP documents

I don't think Astana will be at the Tdf in 2010. They are asking for humiliation and a repeat of 2007. They sorted the team out in 08 so what are they doing going back to Astana of old. If they had any sense they would pretty much keep things as they were. I remember someone saying Astane have new management back in the 2008 Tdf. What is it now management lost their brains or old management forced their way back in like pathetic Vino who acts for sympathy and gets none. Pathetic that team is.

I really have to ask whether you even look at other cycling websites at all? Or if you do, when you last had a look? Because you are so far behind the knowledge base of cyclingnews, it's unbelievable.

They don't have a choice, Vino has forced his way back on the team, saying, if Bruyneel...

... doesn't like me coming in, he can take a hike. So Bruyneel is, indeed, taking a hike. As is most of the management team and staff who follow Bruyneel around.
The management, for all intents and purposes is basically Vino right now, or the Sports Minister of Kazakstan.

I said the reason I am so far behind the cycling news is because I have been very very busy with college and college work and today was my first day I had to look at all the news. I have rarely had time.

By the way - about that list of riders: Did they sign them yet, or is it a rumour?

Astana has now agreed to let go of Bruyneel, Klöden and Rast. Zubeldia, however, will be forced to stay.

That would be shitty of Contador to require if he's already actually out the door to Garmin.

If Astana doesn't lose their license, Contador stays. If they do, Zubeldia will be able to go as well (I believe he's got the same pro-tour clause in his contract).
