I'd doubt it, the Guardian is a more respected newspaper, but still rather sensational.

Well, it seems as though it was the Daily Mail who broke the story - with The Guardian following up on it.
And as far as I know, Daily Mail isn't the most credible British media 
That said, I do believe that Wiggins will sign with Team Sky.
