Me too. I just lost hope after the 2nd patch, they completely remove the milestone races of being a young rider.
Can anyone confirm that you can still play U23 races given that you ride on a Continental team?

Only the regular ones, not the Nation Cup ones. And only if your team signs up for them.

I see thanks for confirming.

People keep confusing N.cup races with U23
U23 is still very much raceable. NCup isn't.

Nice. I will try it in the future, as of now I am continuing my young 20 yr old climber on his first Grand tour.

Thanks, I really thought U23 races are those Ncup.
What is this Ncup races? Are these junior national championships?

Hello guys,
I have been creating many riders just to understand the limits of each type of rider. My usual favorites are stage and mountain racers.
However I´m a little puzzled. If you check complete riders like Froome or Contador they are very strong, or strong enough, in every important stat, like MO / Hill / TT / Acc / End / Res / Rec. However in our created riders, in the more similar categories to the riders I´ve just stated, either they lack big in Acc (for stage racers) or TT (for mountain riders).
I hoped we could raise some similar riders without having to edit a few stats but after many potential trials, I´ve realized that is not possible without a few tweaks. Still stage racers are the closest to what I pretend in a rider. Just a shame for the acceleration stat – the maximum I ever got as potential stat was 70.
Cheers

As outlined in the spreadsheet from the previous page stats are capped according to the chosen rider type. This is somewhat necessary since the rider types would otherwise be meaningless e.g. if you could train a climber to become a world class sprinter. That said I still think that the current caps limits player freedom far to much as you can't really mould your own rider and every pro of a specific category will always turn out almost exactly the same. This sadly makes for rather dull and monotonous game play.

a comparation between my first career no (official)patch and the new career it's different
in first one i liked that your first year just u23 teams you could sign and were few races and were perfect to start a career
now you get continental or pro continental directly and by this your schedule is bigger from begin
i barely upgraded in my first 3 seasons in first career
now in this second career in season 3 i'm already a star and i can win a grand tour from first appearence
1st career,season 3 in my first gt i had like 76 mon 76 hill 6th gc giro
2nd carrer season 3 81 mon 78 hil 73 tt i think i will win giro and vuelta
why they get rid of u23 teams?

Quick question:
I suppose this has already been asked and answered, but does anyone know for how long your career goes on? My pro cyclist is currently 36 years old, and his stats are declinging worringly rapid, and I really don't feel like keep playing if he wound up even worse than what he started as. Would quite fancy quitting at the top.

Maybe this has been asked before, but I just won my first race as a pro, but it's a U23 race (first stage of the Tour d'Isard). I receive all the experience, but I don't unlock the HC races, where it still says I have to win my first race. Doesn't the U23 races count as a win?

Not yet tried but I was wondering if the difficulty level in "Be a pro" mode is applied only to human controlled rider or to the whole team?
(obviously, the correct way to do it is only on human controlled rider)

No, the problem is that you only won a stage, not the race...

I struggle with finding a tactic for TTT, Team Time Trials, in the ProCyclist mode.
I am a stage rider with about 65 in flat, but 78 in time trial. I have won the French time trial championship. I am often the best time trialist on my team.
I experience that my team run out of energy way before me. Maybe to be expected, but I am having a hard time figuring out how to get the optimal combination between my own effort and time I lead out the group, keeping my team riders from getting dropped too fast, and getting a decent time.
My team is often 45-55 seconds behind the best teams in team time trials.
Have anybody figured out how to do this best?
So far I have set the time I lead the team to maximum time and tried to adjust the effort to keep most team members. But it isn't quite working out for me.
-Should I wait to lead out until the end of the race?
-Should I set the time I lead out to the same, more or less than team mates?
-Should I just keep the settings at standard and just accept that my team is not better?
-Something else?
I hope some of you have some useful experience. Thanks in advance.

I think the best way to go if you're the best TT rider in the team is to take long pulls with moderate effort, so the rest of the team doesn't get tired because of high pace you set, but also can spend more time behind you, saving energy. I have not done much of this, though, so it's only a free thought.
What is the most overpowered team you have seen in this game? I'm now riding Giro in my 5th season. And there is Astana with Quintana (83 MO), Bardet (83 MO), Formolo (83 MO), Landa (83 MO), Pinot (82 MO), Ravasi (81 MO) and Gallardo (79 MO). They're all in one team and riding the same Giro! Astana have 4 of something like 7 or 8 best climbers in the game and send them all to Giro. Realistic...

on ttt my tactic is simple,i sign contract just 1 year every time and in july contract/list teams i click on them and press tt stat to see how many tt riders have over 70 tt
in season 3 i'm with bmc as they have lot of good riders with tt skill,so if it's a ttt in grand tours i won't loose time against favourites
you can't do line up but a team having lots of good riders on tt well your team can be easily top 3 teams in a ttt.usually i simulate
